Lord! Earlier this week Froma Harrop published a
ridiculous column in which she accused the Tea Party of
"economic terrorism" and further insisted "like the al-Qaida
bombers" they are pursuing "the dream of restoring some fantasy
caliphate."
"Americans are not supposed to negotiate with terrorists,"
Harrop harrumphed, apparently angling for the Joe Biden Cracked
Cranium Award for Outstanding Discourse, "but that's what Obama has
been doing."
Bad enough, right? But the follow-up is even worse. Miffed that
James Taranto
pointed out that her column might be a bit at odds with the
Civility Project run by the National Conference of Editorial
Writers she heads, Harrop launched into a tortured definition of
what constitutes "civility" that truly must be read to be
believed and seems to obliviously stumble into suggesting that
military force against the Tea Party would be justified were they
ever to try one of those debt-ceiling-debate stunts again.
Seriously.
Dissent, the highest form of patriotism--except when Froma
Harrop determines it needs to be crushed for the good of the
nation. Welcome to 2011, people.
The comments are worth reading also. And from I read, they are
quite civil and spot on. My favorite is this one: "So, I guess this

Our nation’s journalists are like kids in the back seat on a
long car trip from San Diego to Seattle. They do have their own
self-assigned tasks on any tedious road trip – fighting with their
sisters, looking for red or green cars to add to their personal
tally, whining about their need to get out at the very next rest
stop and frequently asking: Are we there yet? As the adult driver,
you never allow the kids to steer or navigate or fiddle with the
vehicle’s controls – that’s your job. And as the nation’s drivers,
American voters have come to a seemingly endless stretch of bad
road, one with no break in sight.
Unemployment is at 9.1% “officially” but getting better
according to Washington; although, when our Labor Dept. admits
there were more Americans unemployed in July than in June, you have
to question their definition of “getting better”. The stock market
is dropping like a hot rock, eliminating any modest gains your
401-K realized during 2011. The country is deep in federal, state
and local debt and the only reason we can load still more debt on
our nation’s Visa card is because the world’s credit lenders can’t
find a better place to park their excess funds – at least not at
the present.
So, while we’re patiently waiting for the economy to improve, we
have no choice but to tolerate the noise from the back seat as our
nation’s journalists constantly fidget in their ceaseless quest to
attract our attention by raising our stress level. But considering
the uninterrupted flow of bad news the past few years, the ugly
prospect that things are falling apart appears more and more real,
the frightful conclusion more and more imminent. Our secret fear is
that this recession is like no other, there won’t be any normal
recovery with that strong economic rebound we’ve all come to know
and love. And while our media children squabble in the back seat,
maybe the adults should be asking them: Are we there yet?

OF TRASH TALK AND FEAR
My mother admonished me as a child saying "Only the stupid or
the fearful use bad language." I suspect that what we are seeing
from the liberal media is both, stupid and fearful.
It is really stupid to call a popular uprising bad names. It
takes people, lots of people, to make for a popular uprising like
the Tea Party. Those people are likely voters. It is really stupid
to trash something like the Tea Party as that gets more and more
people looking at it to see just what is there to trash. A party
that lives up to its principals isn't all bad. And then you have
the young who tend to rebel at the best of times. Call the Tea
Party evil, and that becomes THE place to rebel against mom and
dad.
Then we have fear. Now, suddenly we have a group of people who
can elect officials that actually say NO to the established elite.
Keep in mind that the members of the established elite have payed
their dues. They climbed the political ladder. They rose to the top
playing the game. Now, out of nowhere, the game changes. They don't
know what to do. Here come the rable rousers that didn't pay their
dues, and who play a different game. The elite who worked so hard
to get to where they are, now find that where they are isn't such a
great place to be.
So, expect more trash talk. Expect more of the Tea Party as (
_______) fill in the blank with the slander of the day. The elite
can't fight the Tea Party on intellectual grounds, they can't fight
it on principal, they can't fight it in the voteing booth. The only
thing that is left to them is the slander of trash talking media
intellectual midgets.
martin j smith| 8.5.11 @ 4:42PM
The utter stupidity which the Socialists show about the Tea
Party is amazing and helps us to understand how they think. We the
Tea Party should be supported because they are our hope for the
future. I also think it means that there is a need for new
leadership for our side. Leaders who will stand up to the
Socialists and their propaganda.
The main aspect that motivates me to feel we need new leaders is
the need for new leaders to be willing to call the Socialists out
and be more combative when they go over the top. Calling the Tea
Party terrorists is over the top.

Paul is becoming increasingly more interesting and viable as a
Republican....FYI:
'....Ron Paul: Debt Deal is a 'Fraud'
Friday, August 5, 2011 12:37 PM
By: Jim Meyers and Ashley Martella
Republican Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul tells
Newsmax the bill designed to cut the budget deficit and raise the
debt ceiling is a “fraud” because it actually does nothing to
reduce current spending levels. The Texas lawmaker also says it is
“discouraging” that many new members of Congress who were backed by
the tea party voted in favor of the bill, the Budget Control Act of
2011. Rep. Paul has served 12 terms in Congress and is chairman of
the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary
Policy and Technology. He previously ran for president in 1988 and
2008, and has announced he will retire from Congress when his
current term ends.Paul is one of five Republicans from the Texas
congressional delegation to vote against passage of the budget
bill. In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, he takes issue
with claims that the bill contains cuts in current spending.“This
is one of the most annoying things about the reporting on what
we’ve been trying to do in Washington and what we pretend to be
doing,” he says.“They always talk about cuts, cuts, cuts, and
everyone’s screaming you can’t cut this, you can’t cut that. But
there are no cuts. What they’re talking about is cutting proposed
increases. So it’s a real misleading definition when they talk
about cuts. Anything we do for future years doesn’t hold water
anyway because you can’t tell the next Congress what to do.
“Basically it’s a fraud. If they were serious about it they could
freeze the budget and give everybody the same amount of money they
got last year.” Paul maintains that if the federal government went
back to 2004 spending levels, we would have a balanced budget right
now. “Even now if you freeze the budget, within about five years it
would be balanced again,” he explains. “But nobody’s quite willing
to do that because they think they have to have steady increases.
“There’s a strong appetite for government and that is where the
problem is. People don’t want to cut back on the militarism or
anything that looks like it might cut into the check they’re
getting from government, and a lot of people are getting checks
from the government.” Paul tells Newsmax the federal budget has
doubled in 10 years because “the appetite for government never
ends. There are more retired people because of the demographics,
less people coming into the workforce. Unemployment rates go up so
the benefits go up automatically. It’s endless.“And there are
always new programs. There are hundreds and hundreds of programs
that are brand new. They just won’t stop. It’s like an addiction. I
don’t think they realize the seriousness of this problem.” Paul is
disappointed that most Republicans who were backed by the tea party
in 2010 voted for the budget bill.“The tea party people have helped
because it has changed the atmosphere and at least they’re talking
about this,” he says.“But it has to be awfully discouraging for all
of us if they’re not voting against these kinds of programs where
we raise the national debt.“It’s a real mess. People realize that
when you do cut there’s a political liability there. But the tea
party people got here because it was a political liability to
continue the spending.“That has to be ironed out and it will be
ironed out pretty soon because we cannot maintain what we’re
doing.”Paul believes there will be a backlash from the tea party
against members of Congress who voted for the bill.“I think there
will be but I don’t think it will be quite the same thing that
happened last year when so many [incumbents] were routed.“There
will be so many people who will be disenchanted, saying, ‘We
changed the Congress but we didn’t change the votes.’ “If things
don’t improve and we don’t get our house in order and control this
budget, I think there will be a lot of people saying, ‘We sent you
over there but you kept voting for more spending.’”If Republicans
take control of the Senate in the 2012 elections next year, Paul
was asked, will that change anything regarding reckless spending?
“Let’s hope so, but there’s no guarantee,” he responds.“When George
Bush was in charge and we had the Senate and the House, we didn’t
do a very good job.“Then the battle becomes between the two
factions within the Republican Party, the conservatives versus the
big spenders. It depends on who shows up in the Senate. But
certainly the way it’s formulated right now there’s no way the
conservatives can win a fight and have the Senate support it and
then have the president sign a bill.”Explaining why he decided to
leave Congress after his current term expires, Paul tells Newsmax:
“I wanted to concentrate on the race for the presidency. The last
time I ran I did both and it’s distracting, and I wanted to make
sure people knew I was very, very serious about the presidential
run. I was also content to know that I am ready to leave the
Congress.”Paul adds that as a presidential candidate his poll
numbers “have been improving. We have to continue to campaign, we
have to continue to raise money.“We have to continue to do what I’m
doing, and more so.” '

Our nation’s journalists are like kids in the back seat on a long car trip from San Diego to Seattle. They do have their own self-assigned tasks on any tedious road trip – fighting with their sisters, looking for red or green cars to add to their personal tally, whining about their need to get out at the very next rest stop and frequently asking: Are we there yet? As the adult driver, you never allow the kids to steer or navigate or fiddle with the vehicle’s controls – that’s your job. And as the nation’s drivers, American voters have come to a seemingly endless stretch of bad road, one with no break in sight.
Unemployment is at 9.1% “officially” but getting better according to Washington; although, when our Labor Dept. admits there were more Americans unemployed in July than in June, you have to question their definition of “getting better”. The stock market is dropping like a hot rock, eliminating any modest gains your 401-K realized during 2011. The country is deep in federal, state and local debt and the only reason we can load still more debt on our nation’s Visa card is because the world’s credit lenders can’t find a better place to park their excess funds – at least not at the present.
So, while we’re patiently waiting for the economy to improve, we have no choice but to tolerate the noise from the back seat as our nation’s journalists constantly fidget in their ceaseless quest to attract our attention by raising our stress level. But considering the uninterrupted flow of bad news the past few years, the ugly prospect that things are falling apart appears more and more real, the frightful conclusion more and more imminent. Our secret fear is that this recession is like no other, there won’t be any normal recovery with that strong economic rebound we’ve all come to know and love. And while our media children squabble in the back seat, maybe the adults should be asking them: Are we there yet?

Sarah Palin is a mouthpiece for the Tea Party which represents nothing but hatred and dissension. Her rhetoric and violence-inciting imagery IS a form of terrorism and a prime example. She held Jared Lee Loughner’s hand while he murdered people with his misguided sensibilities. I was compelled to draw a visual commentary showing her handing him the gun on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.....do-it.html She'll go to any lengths and keep spewing her insanity for that attention (and the money of course.)

OF TRASH TALK AND FEAR
My mother admonished me as a child saying "Only the stupid or the fearful use bad language." I suspect that what we are seeing from the liberal media is both, stupid and fearful.
It is really stupid to call a popular uprising bad names. It takes people, lots of people, to make for a popular uprising like the Tea Party. Those people are likely voters. It is really stupid to trash something like the Tea Party as that gets more and more people looking at it to see just what is there to trash. A party that lives up to its principals isn't all bad. And then you have the young who tend to rebel at the best of times. Call the Tea Party evil, and that becomes THE place to rebel against mom and dad.
Then we have fear. Now, suddenly we have a group of people who can elect officials that actually say NO to the established elite. Keep in mind that the members of the established elite have payed their dues. They climbed the political ladder. They rose to the top playing the game. Now, out of nowhere, the game changes. They don't know what to do. Here come the rable rousers that didn't pay their dues, and who play a different game. The elite who worked so hard to get to where they are, now find that where they are isn't such a great place to be.
So, expect more trash talk. Expect more of the Tea Party as ( _______) fill in the blank with the slander of the day. The elite can't fight the Tea Party on intellectual grounds, they can't fight it on principal, they can't fight it in the voteing booth. The only thing that is left to them is the slander of trash talking media intellectual midgets.
martin j smith| 8.5.11 @ 4:42PM
The utter stupidity which the Socialists show about the Tea Party is amazing and helps us to understand how they think. We the Tea Party should be supported because they are our hope for the future. I also think it means that there is a need for new leadership for our side. Leaders who will stand up to the Socialists and their propaganda.
The main aspect that motivates me to feel we need new leaders is the need for new leaders to be willing to call the Socialists out and be more combative when they go over the top. Calling the Tea Party terrorists is over the top.

Paul is becoming increasingly more interesting and viable as a Republican....FYI:
'....Ron Paul: Debt Deal is a 'Fraud'
Friday, August 5, 2011 12:37 PM
By: Jim Meyers and Ashley Martella
Republican Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul tells Newsmax the bill designed to cut the budget deficit and raise the debt ceiling is a “fraud” because it actually does nothing to reduce current spending levels. The Texas lawmaker also says it is “discouraging” that many new members of Congress who were backed by the tea party voted in favor of the bill, the Budget Control Act of 2011. Rep. Paul has served 12 terms in Congress and is chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology. He previously ran for president in 1988 and 2008, and has announced he will retire from Congress when his current term ends.Paul is one of five Republicans from the Texas congressional delegation to vote against passage of the budget bill. In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, he takes issue with claims that the bill contains cuts in current spending.“This is one of the most annoying things about the reporting on what we’ve been trying to do in Washington and what we pretend to be doing,” he says.“They always talk about cuts, cuts, cuts, and everyone’s screaming you can’t cut this, you can’t cut that. But there are no cuts. What they’re talking about is cutting proposed increases. So it’s a real misleading definition when they talk about cuts. Anything we do for future years doesn’t hold water anyway because you can’t tell the next Congress what to do. “Basically it’s a fraud. If they were serious about it they could freeze the budget and give everybody the same amount of money they got last year.” Paul maintains that if the federal government went back to 2004 spending levels, we would have a balanced budget right now. “Even now if you freeze the budget, within about five years it would be balanced again,” he explains. “But nobody’s quite willing to do that because they think they have to have steady increases. “There’s a strong appetite for government and that is where the problem is. People don’t want to cut back on the militarism or anything that looks like it might cut into the check they’re getting from government, and a lot of people are getting checks from the government.” Paul tells Newsmax the federal budget has doubled in 10 years because “the appetite for government never ends. There are more retired people because of the demographics, less people coming into the workforce. Unemployment rates go up so the benefits go up automatically. It’s endless.“And there are always new programs. There are hundreds and hundreds of programs that are brand new. They just won’t stop. It’s like an addiction. I don’t think they realize the seriousness of this problem.” Paul is disappointed that most Republicans who were backed by the tea party in 2010 voted for the budget bill.“The tea party people have helped because it has changed the atmosphere and at least they’re talking about this,” he says.“But it has to be awfully discouraging for all of us if they’re not voting against these kinds of programs where we raise the national debt.“It’s a real mess. People realize that when you do cut there’s a political liability there. But the tea party people got here because it was a political liability to continue the spending.“That has to be ironed out and it will be ironed out pretty soon because we cannot maintain what we’re doing.”Paul believes there will be a backlash from the tea party against members of Congress who voted for the bill.“I think there will be but I don’t think it will be quite the same thing that happened last year when so many [incumbents] were routed.“There will be so many people who will be disenchanted, saying, ‘We changed the Congress but we didn’t change the votes.’ “If things don’t improve and we don’t get our house in order and control this budget, I think there will be a lot of people saying, ‘We sent you over there but you kept voting for more spending.’”If Republicans take control of the Senate in the 2012 elections next year, Paul was asked, will that change anything regarding reckless spending? “Let’s hope so, but there’s no guarantee,” he responds.“When George Bush was in charge and we had the Senate and the House, we didn’t do a very good job.“Then the battle becomes between the two factions within the Republican Party, the conservatives versus the big spenders. It depends on who shows up in the Senate. But certainly the way it’s formulated right now there’s no way the conservatives can win a fight and have the Senate support it and then have the president sign a bill.”Explaining why he decided to leave Congress after his current term expires, Paul tells Newsmax: “I wanted to concentrate on the race for the presidency. The last time I ran I did both and it’s distracting, and I wanted to make sure people knew I was very, very serious about the presidential run. I was also content to know that I am ready to leave the Congress.”Paul adds that as a presidential candidate his poll numbers “have been improving. We have to continue to campaign, we have to continue to raise money.“We have to continue to do what I’m doing, and more so.” '

Satire is a dish best served spicy and overdone.
After spending weeks bashing the Conservatives and Republicans with every vile tactic and slander thus getting what they want by stampeding the RINOs, they suddenly wanted to be treated “civility” thus insuring no possible payback.
After last week, the concept that the Democrats deserve “civility” is absurd well past the point of insanity.
What Pelosi, Reid, Obama and the rest of the Democrats deserve are long jail terms at hard labor.
Failing that, Satire and Ridicule are the historically preferred options.

In CNN, C-SPAN, Huffington Post, AP, Getty Images, Time, Newsweek, New York Times, I, "George Washington" have been pictured the "face of the Tea Party". Let me say, coming from VP Biden, much like King George III, I am honored to be called a terrorist. For if a terrorist is a man or woman who will stand in opposition to a Tyrant like P.resident Obama, or Mr. Reid in the Senate, then this One Nation Under God, indivisible, indivisible only when a Nation Under God, needs an army of Terrorists to defeat Democrat Tyranny.
