Last night President Obama suggested to his supporters is that "the key is not to get too bogged down in detail" about his record on taxes and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

For Obama the key is that conservatives not get too bogged down in the details of his proposals before they're passed, and for progressives not get too bogged down in the details after.

Obama is correct. His campaign was based on vague promises of hope and change. His presidency is based on facts such as 10% unemployment, record deficits, and expansion of wars in Afghanistan and Libya, continuation of the war in Iraq, and general all around incopetence. At least he is smart enough to tell his followers to ignore these facts, and most of them are stupid enough to ignore these facts. They like his speeches, not the facts.

Hope is gone and Change ($) is all we have left.

Al Adab
after this week's stock market collapse, we may not have even change.
wasn't the deficit deal supposed to "calm" the markets?
the market is telling us the deal stinks.

Indeed. Great debt deal, what?

"Don't get too bogged down in the details"! I think that makes my Top 10 List of Political BS, along with (in no particular order):
"This is the best deal we could get" - GOP "leadership"
"We may have caved on the government shutdown. But, the real fight will be on the debt ceiling." - GOP "leadership"

Uh, sounds like the GOP leadership doesn't want conservatives getting too bogged down in their track record, either.

As we know, the DEVIL is in the details.
