I am glad to see that Gabby Giffords returned to the floor of the House of Representatives to cast a vote in favor of the debt ceiling deal.

But regardless of how she voted, when you consider the state she was in, this is an absolutely blessed event.

Well...National Review has this as the lead story...so what the hell...I guess I'll get on the wagon...

This is such a blessed day.

She voted for it, so I guess it had to be the right thing to do...

Don't know about the rest of you...but are all of you starting to see some definite similarities between Spectator, Nat. Review, and Lefty propoganda?????

No, Goldstein...I am not saying that your G.Giffords post definitely has an agenda....it's just kinda...Convenient...it always is.

WL: agree, thread TownHall, Human Events and several more in there and you have the GOP boys weaving their magic! And, I am NOT a dim lib!

She looks EXTREMELY well for someone who was shot in the head! I'm glad to see her recover.

As folks have pointed out: decency is more important than politics.

Apparently, the Wellstone Funeral really is their happy place. What, too harsh? Isn't it odd that the usual suspects like Chris Matthews are already using this to bring up those Tea Partiers, you know, the ones that Biden and company coincidentally are calling terrorists and hostage-takers this week. Why, it's almost as if they are all singing off the same sheet of music.

And don't forget her charming family, who were loud and proud about blaming the right for instigating a befuddled Marxist to take a shot at her.

This was a cheap political stunt, just like all the other times they bring out the sick, lame and lazy to tug at our heartstrings.

I am happy that she has recovered as well as she has. I am deeply unhappy that one of our two major political parties is perfectly willing to use her as a prop.

Personally I'd trust someone who got shot 'thru and thru' with a gun before I'd trust a 'Tea Bagger'

I am always amazed by the lack of couth on the left. Do you actually know what "tea bagging" is? Do you know who practices it? Do you know that the same group whose aberrant behavior seems to be such an obcession with you and yours actually supports the left? When are gays, women and Jews going to wake up? They are to the left what Gabby Giffords was last night. Useful pawns -- in this case -- of the reselection campaign. Too gutless to appear on the houe floor himself, 0bama sends a sacrifice. Totally classless.

A sure-fire way of guaranteeing a long discussion thread is to mention cajones. Freud would have a field day.

kingofthenut knows all about tea bagging ! it's foreplay to fisting in the liberal/progressive party of pillow biting freaks !

ps .. kevin jennings called to say that you left your thong under his pillow !

King Nothing,

Here in Arizona, we had a prog cartoonist in a Tucson newspaper recently suggest Obama should send the SEALS to kill Tea Partiers.

I am done being lectured about civility by vulgarity-spewing nihilist vermin such as yourself. Your ideology is bankrupt, and your ends-justify-the-means tactics are laid bare for all to see. It will be no small pleasure continuing to watch you and your cohorts cringe and whinge in your bunker waiting for your imaginary Army Detachment Steiner to materialize (if the historical reference is lost on you, that doesn't surprise me).

I saw the clip on YouTube. She actually looked amazingly good. Her right arm dangled but her right leg was clearly at least partially functional. Both sides of her face seemed to work. Looking at her, she definitely seemed to be all there. With all the lights on.

I wouldn't put it past them to run her hubby for her seat in 2012 and I know this is indeed a stunt, but it just might be possible that she could do her job until then. Though her speechifying days are clearly over.

He announced July 3 upon his retirement from NASA that he was considering this didn't he?

I thought the Phoenix speech by Teh Won in Feb was supposed to be an olive branch of sorts to political enemies. Months later the DNC chair and Vice president refer to Tea Party Patriots as terrorists and tea baggers?

WJ| 8.2.11 @ 8:57AM

I feel sorry for her as I would anyone that is shot in the head.
Having said that - a liberal democrat came back to cast a liberal vote? This is a blessed event? Ridiculous.

gearjammer| 8.2.11 @ 9:23AM

When do we investigate her claim that tea party folks roaming the halls of Congress in the middle of the night smashed in her office doors. She made the claim on MSNBC and other places. Should be easy enough to prove-must be all sorts of security-cameras log sheets etc to get the truth. Don't fear this little cupcake and her scmaltz act. She is as ruthless as Pelosi, Waxman,
Conyers, etc. Be careful Republicans . She'll stick a stilletto in your back first chance she gets.

LC Jackboot| 8.2.11 @ 1:25PM

You won't see any investigation. She and the left don't want that to happen as her claim is false. How can anyone have the cojones (Hah !) to blatantly lie about something, when it can be disproved in a few minutes of video watching. Oh...sorry it's the left, where wishing, hoping and dreaming trumps simple reality, AND the truth.

USSAlabama| 8.2.11 @ 1:42PM

Just like the cameras everywhere in the alleged spitting incident.

Willing to bet that even a $100.000 bounty for an incriminating video or photo would produce none.
Again.
