Of Burgers & Wine

Ta-Nehisi Coates of The Atlantic calls The Washington Post's article on First Lady Michelle Obama enjoying a ShackBurger "the dumbest story ever written in all of human history."

Well, when you consider the Talking Points Memo "expose" written by Susan Crabtree about Paul Ryan drinking a glass of wine, I hardly think The Washington Post piece qualifies as the dumbest story of the week, much less in all of human history.

No doubt Ryan PAID FOR his $350 bottle of wine, but no doubt the American taxpayers paid for that SHACKBURGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michelle had a burger, fries, chocolate cake, and drink, at 1700 calories. She needs the calories after the hard work of lecturing us on obesity, and vacationing in Spain and South Africa on our dime. And that dime was $800,000 for south africa.

Remember the $850 pair of sneakers Marie Antionette Obama wore to work in the food pantry? What about all the designer dresses and the Friday nite parties with Kobe beef?
Or the very expensive wine that The ONE served to Hu?

Ruling class, your bias is showing. Also you shallowness.

The Atlantic blog is pretty much useless but for the occasional Megan McArdle article where she has something interesting to say. Apparently for the commenters at the Coates article it's a big leap to find any hypocrisy in Michele Antoinette regularly stuffing herself with cheeseburgers and ribs while lecturing the world about what we put in our own mouths.

They're going to go to their graves wondering the hell happened the first week of November, 2012.

The even funnier thing is that the self righteous socialista professor who called Ryan out for his dinner buddies wine selection was eating in the very same restaurant. And it wasn't a TGI Fridays. I've eaten at almost every good fine dining restaurant IN DC, but not this place. It is, however on my list, & was long before this little fracas. I've seen their menu & prices. Even if this socialista bimbo just had a salad (which I doubt she did), a place like that usually runs about $120-$170 for 2 people, tip & a couple of drinks included.

Then you have Angela Davis Jr. & her self righteous & now taxpayer funded "anti-obesity" program. You have the FDA MANDATING that food producers use less sodium. You have a city that has some of the best restaurants IN THE WORLD with a mayor who's banned salt shakers on tables & may be seeking to curtail the use of ALL mediums of fat in cooking applications. All the while, Angela Jr., who looks like she weighs a duce & a half, stuff her face with the very same type of food she wants us to get away from. But hey, it was healthy right? I mean, she DID have a Diet Coke....

regressives=hypocrites

Here's a link to the menu at Bistro Bis, where Rep. Ryan had what sounds like a great meal until some sanctimonious nag got in his face. Tell me this haint just had a salad or an app. Oh, & I shouldn't have looked at this menu this early in the morning. Now I'm STARVING. This stuff sounds great!
