To quote her, ""I wasn't drunk, but I was certainly emboldened to speak my mind."
Like so much "liberal" or "progressive" commentary, how can you tell the difference? Does it even matter?
Andrew Keirns| 7.8.11 @ 7:44PM
Right. Leftists get wine and speak their mind? Or leftists just whine ... What's the difference?
jomo2009| 7.8.11 @ 5:36PM
It never fails to amuse me that liberals think nothing of wasteful government spending (increasing the national debt by $5 trillion in 3 years time), but become unhinged when someone spends their own money on something they object to.
Joe R.| 7.8.11 @ 5:40PM
Did I seriously just read an article about outrage over Paul Ryan ordering expensive wine?
This is insane.
WL| 7.8.11 @ 5:59PM
Uh hem.....
Didn't Ryan's net worth skyrocket 63% in ONE YEAR...to something like over 41 million?????
Oh...no...that was PELOSI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bet this Feinberg IDIOT doesn't care that PELOSI LIVES IN A WINERY EITHER!!!
I HATE THESE KIND OF LIBERAL PUKES.
Rep. Ryan can drink whatever kind of wine he wants...because we pay for it on a government airplane anyway right???????
WRONG AGAIN!!! THAT"S PELOSI AND HER FAMILY....
GOSH DOG....SHE HAD TO DO IT FOR "THE CHILDREN"
Controse| 7.8.11 @ 8:58PM
Am I the only one that sees this episode as a case study in insufferable rudeness? Her presumption is the kernel of liberal oppression. It doesn't appear to ever occur to them that they need to live their lives and respect our right to live ours. If she thinks it is obscene to spend $350 on a bottle of wine I wouldn't expect her to be ordering such or even go so far as to excuse herself and leave if anyone at her table did so. What rule of behavior in polite society did she believe she was following that gave her leave to interrupt another party's polite conversation? I suspect civility ranks lower than righteousness in her pantheon values.
ggoblue| 7.8.11 @ 10:27PM
another lib who 'can't understand normal thinking'.
BD57| 7.8.11 @ 11:35PM
"Liberal is sanctimonious." Like that's news .....
Seriously, though - no, on second thought, I can't take the likes of Feinberg seriously.
michael eiseman| 7.9.11 @ 2:05AM
Wow! So let me get this straight, this obstinate *bitch* gets her panties in a WAD over seeing Paul Ryan partake of an expensive bottle of wine at dinner, basically switches to STALKER mode and with the utmost crass lack of decorum gets in his face?
That story reads like a third grade tattle tale and the word bitch doesn't quite fit the bill...I'm thinking of a word that begins with C and ends with UNT...
And I'm sure she got just as apoplectic about Nancy Pelosi's Air Force tab...yeah right:

Did anyone read the comments posted after that article. I couldn't believe they were comparing this to Barney Frank's doling out cash to his butfriend...I mean boyfriend and John Kerry hiding his yacht. How ignorant, I used to be in sales and marketing and find this to be small change at the best. It is analagous to giving a free ice cream to a kid. 300 dollars a bottle is nothing and I have an ex-gf who springs for a 400 dollar sushi meal for me without even batting an eyelash....and she is a limo liberal. You can not tell me that all those pompous arses like Kerry, Edwards and Pelosi don't have dinner bills that top 500 per person, as well as how much are the Obama fundraiser per plate? This is non- news that the young and stupid liberals love, like I said before they exhibit the morality of a freshman that has just finished Sociology 101.
David C| 7.11.11 @ 10:02AM
I read that comment, FastJohnny, and took it to be sarcasm.

How many times have I told The Old Ball & Chain not to sneak her bottle of Thunderbird into Bistro Bis, in her big handbag.
Then We had to put on our Democrat Donkey Ears & Tail Party Hats & sing Susan's fav tune, "What's The Word? Thunderbird".
The Women is PMS'y & Nuts.
After Susie put on her wine muscles, she kicked over our table & went after some poor bastards sitting at the next table.
Then she yells,"You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? Then who the hell else are you talking... you talking to me? Me & My Homeboy here are gonna give you Whitey Suits a Beatdown".
At that point, I tried to wrestle the fork she was brandishing, away from her.
It was at that point, that the waiters & cooks threw us out of Bistro Bis & told us to never come back.
tfgray| 7.9.11 @ 10:53AM
Bravo Susan! Paul Ryan has lived too long in his bubble. Thanks for needling him.
Truth to Power| 7.9.11 @ 8:17PM
What kind of conservative bravos a liberal attacking a fellow conservative with class warfare nonsense? A very stupid one is the answer. Smells like a liberal troll to me but I guess it could just be a stupid crank. Either way they are a waste of air.
David C| 7.11.11 @ 10:09AM
Truth,
If you go to "tfgray" blog you will read this (the start of his latest post):
"In the past 30 years, the income of the top 20% has gone up by 20% and the income of the bottom 80% has increased by 4%. Therefore, according to Republican economic theory, the problem is that the bottom 80% is getting too much money. They say that society would be better served if they paid higher taxes and receive fewer services so the top 20% could have more money. This, they claim, would lead to an increase in business activity which would result in more jobs being created."
This is proof positive that tfray is a leftist troll.
Oldefarte| 7.9.11 @ 11:48AM
Let's see, is this perhaps comparable to the the first couple actually boardering their first dog onto an Air Force One jet and flying said dog to Hawaii to join the first couple's ongoing vacation perhaps? What praytel was the official cost to taxpayers of this country for that little excursion [in the high thousands of dollars no doubt]. What about the cost to taxpayers of that OFFICIAL TRIP to Paris, France that the first couple took [that just so happened to coinside with their wedding anniversary]? If this Jewish woman/reporter is so insensed over the cost of this bottle of wine issue, maybe she should possibly consider that her supposedly/apparently preferential choice for president of the US and his administration has been selling her ancestors and possibly relatives down the rivers of the middle east in Israel for the past two plus years toward destruction. Maybe whe should consider that fact, instead of worrying about an insignificant bottel of expensive wine!!!!!!!!!!!
Bruno| 7.9.11 @ 11:54AM
Now that you are all warmed up, it is time to give bubble boy Ron Paul the needle so to speak.
Clint| 7.9.11 @ 1:04PM
Dr.Ron Paul,
“Sources in Washington tell me that House Republican Speaker John Boehner is considering a deal to raise taxes as part of a debt limit ‘deal.’
“In fact, reports are they may be ready to cave in to Barack Obama’s demands for a trillion dollars in tax increases in exchange for mostly phony spending and tax cuts in order to raise the debt ceiling.
“House Republicans would be foolish to go for this ploy and be taken in by the Obama administration, only to leave American taxpayers on the hook again for more out-of-control government spending.
“The Democrats pulled a similar maneuver during Ronald Reagan’s presidency, a deal that promised 2 to 1 spending cuts in exchange for tax increases. Taxes went up, but the cuts never came. They did it again in 1990, promising much the same deal, and delivering only on their tax increases.
“In Washington, if you hear about a so-called deal, you can be sure the taxes will come, but the cuts never will.
“Republicans cannot take the bait and get fooled again.
“This is exactly why I was the first Presidential candidate to sign on to the Cut, Cap, and Balance Pledge — because we cannot continue to steer our country down this road to ruin with massive a federal budget and unchecked spending. We need to change course right now.
“Agreeing to this scheme by the White House would be a betrayal of the voters who put Republicans back in charge of the House in 2010.
“Those in Congress who agree must stand firm and not give in to Obama and the big-spending Washington crowd.
“I will stand with the people, and urge leadership to do the same and fight against raising taxes, no matter what.”
The Tea Party Rebellion Escalates.
Carpe Diem.
My Girl Friday| 7.9.11 @ 2:35PM
I am compelled to send a copy of P.J. O'Rourke's "Modern Manners- An Etiquette Book for Rude People" to Congressman Ryan. I will highlight Chapter 11, Advice For Modern Men: "How much fame, money and power does one woman have to achieve on her own before you can punch her in the face?"
As a side note, Ms. Feinberg teaches/taught a course at Rutgers Business School titled "Love and Money: Valuable Lessons for Life" a self help course for undergraduates on the deeply confusing subjects of managing one's money and love. I would suggest, that Ms. Feinberg could use some personal help in managing her temper and minding her own business.
Dai Alanye| 7.9.11 @ 3:42PM
Here's the part I like:
"Feinberg, an economist by training, was even more appalled when the table ordered a second bottle. She quickly did the math…"
Apparently a Liberal has to be an economist to add two figures and divide by 80. What a maroon!
Mark in LA| 7.9.11 @ 8:09PM
How pathetic that you morons defend this Ryan clown. He is the same butt licking errand boy for Wall Street that all Republicans are. Yet you morons think he is on YOUR side. He doesn't give a damn about you if you aren't one of the top 1 percent of the wealthy.
Truth to Power| 7.9.11 @ 8:35PM
Mark should have voted for Ralph Nader. He never would have sucked up to Wall Street like our jug eared President. Ralph would have closed gitmo, ended military tribunals, got the US our of Iraq and Afghanistan, insisted on single payer health care, passed Cap and Trade and followed the promises Obama made but didn't have the guts to follow through. Instead Mark followed his race obsessed instincts and gave the country four years of being the lap dog of big money. Mark, you will have the chance to correct your mistake in 2012. Maybe Cynthia McKinney will run again. She is an African American with the huevos to stick it to the man.
JmsA| 7.10.11 @ 11:30AM
I believe you might have lost your way, Mark in LA; this is the AS site, not the Huffpo.
My Girl Friday| 7.10.11 @ 5:01PM
Mark, for your general information:
51 Richest Members of Congress for 2010 twenty -nine are Democrats, twenty-one are Republicans. Four of those twenty-nine Democrats are Californians in this order of 51 Richest:
(3) Jane Harman 152.62 Million
(10) Dianne Feinstein 46.07 Million
(13) Nancy Pelosi 21.74 Million
(51) Jackie Speier 5.06 Million
The top ten wealthiest members of congress for 2011 show seven Democrats and Four Republicans. Of those seven Democrats two are California representatives once again:
Jane Harman 152.3 Million
Dianne Feinstein 46.1 Million
Accordingly, Representative Paul Ryan total assets for 2011 are $590,092 - 2,425,00. The pertinent information can be found on open secrets.
So if you claim that Rep. Ryan does not give a hoot about anyone unless they are the "top 1 percent of the wealthy," does your claim (uncivil name calling) apply to your Democratic representatives in California and other Millionaire Democrats in Congress?
I believe that you should take a closer look at President Obama's personal relationships with Wall Street before accusing Representative Ryan of currying special favors.
Sardonikus| 7.11.11 @ 1:08AM
This coming from one of the many ticks on the bloated ass of billionaire/Nazi accessory/convicted criminal George Soros.
Leftist filth, the best thing you can do for our side is to keep opening your mouth and sticking your clubfoot in it.
Desinistration now!

So Mark, what's life like being the cup and saucer to Obama's teabag?
David C| 7.11.11 @ 10:18AM
Is being a "butt licking errand boy for Wall Street" worse than being a butt licking errand boy for socialists and abortionists? Because that's what the Democrats are, Mark my boy.
Ryan's only mistakes were in not telling this snooty bitch to mind her own business while throwing a glass of that expensive wine on her.
Rowdy Boots| 7.11.11 @ 11:39AM
Typical Lib Nonsense.
Now, one is not supposed to order wine that costs more than...what amount? Which price of a bottle of wine is the limit for Libs?
It reminds me of the Mother who tells her children: Eat your veggies, children are starving in Ethiopia.
The childs relpy: How will eating my veggies help the starving children in Ethiopia?
SAME LOGIC APPEARS HERE--YOU IDIOT LIBS JUST DON'T GET IT...WHILE YOU SPEND A FORTUNE ON YOUR OWN STUFF.
I DID NOT HEAR ONE LIB COMPLAIN ABOUT MICHELLES 300,000.$ vacation last year.
opps, my bad, she's one of yours...forgot, silly me.
Rowdy Boots| 7.11.11 @ 11:44AM
and furthermore...
Now we are going to have the Food Nazis monitoring what we eat and how much we pay for wine?
Will they now begin to dog us if we enter an expensive restaurant and (God Forbid) spend our own money on something we want?
YOU LIBS MAKE ME SICK. SOMETIMES I HOPE YOU GET ANOTHER 4 YEARS OF OBAMA JUST TO SHOW YOU WHAT IDIOTS YOU ARE...BUT THEN, MY CHILDREN WILL SUFFER, SO:
WE ARE GOING TO BOOT THIS PUNK OUT OF OFFICE NEXT TIME ROUND
