Democrats are reportedly playing word games to spin President Obama’s offer of Social Security benefit reductions in return for Republican agreement on closing a few tax loopholes in the debt-ceiling budget negotiations. But while the White House has tried to portray the GOP as stubbornly intractable right-wing extremists beholden to the ultra-rich, the real problem is that Obama has limited room for maneuver because of serious problems with his own left-wing supporters. MoveOn.org is now threatening to boycott the president’s re-election campaign:
Dear MoveOn member,
News just broke that President Obama is offering to cut Social Security as part of the debt deal they’re working out in Washington right now. And reports say he’s stopped pushing to eliminate the Bush tax cuts for millionaires in these negotiations.
If both these things are true, it’s an absolute outrage. When asked, 75% of MoveOn members said that if a deal like this were to go through, they’d be less likely to donate to or volunteer for President Obama’s re-election campaign… .
Here’s the text to copy into your Facebook status when you share this graphic: “If Barack Obama cuts Social Security to pay for the Bush tax cuts for millionaires, I won’t ever give his campaign another dime. Repost and reshare this image if you agree.” …
At least one young conservative blogger has endorsed the MoveOn.org boycott, as I’ve observed: “Of course, he wasn’t going to give Obama a dime to begin with — but it’s the thought that counts, right?”

Move on. this must be a story planted by Soros to mislead Repubs, You know the more I hear the more its all theatre to me--its all unreal. I will waite and see what actually happens except there is one catch with that: The media that reports it gets it from government folk all or most are liars so even there you have to read between the lines and then decide for oneself what YOU think the truth is.
Renard| 7.8.11 @ 10:25PM
You know, reading between the lines is exactly what the Russians had to do back in the days of the Soviet Union. Now we have to do the same.
Years ago my dad told me something my grandfather would always say (back in the 40's and 50's) - there are more Communists in the United States than there are in the entire Soviet Union. I never understood that comment, until about 2008. Now, under the regime, with the willing assistance of the MSM, I understand EXACTLY what Grandpa meant!

Does this mean that George Soros is eligible for Social Security?
Oldefarte| 7.9.11 @ 2:28PM
Oh excrement, Barry done stepped in IT now! What next, Soros won't sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him? Does this mean that possibly those middle eastern oil sheiks won't contribute also? Gadzooks, shazam!!!!!!!
Oldefarte| 7.10.11 @ 10:10AM
Don't worry folks, El Chosen One can still count on receiving all of THE KENNEDY MONEY [even half of Arnoold's money after maria gets in the divorce]!!!!!!!!!
Debbie Paine| 7.9.11 @ 4:38PM
I would like to encourage a boycott. I would support it.
Also, I would like to see a movement to take away the benefits and high salaries of Congress. If they had to worry about healthcare and Social Security....this would NOT be happening.
Please let me know if I can be of any help.

By the time we get to Nov 2012 the left will be 200% behind the messiah. The last election was a lark compared to the upcoming battle between dictatorial Utopians doing anything to cling to power and the Americans who are fed up with it.
Brubaker5| 7.10.11 @ 9:27AM
MoveOn will boycott the messiah? Not bloody likely. They have no choice but to support him, and they will.
It's a lovely fantasy though.
Occam's Tool| 7.10.11 @ 10:38PM
Or MoveOn.Org scum will stay home and not vote. They're going to lose anyway in '12. Their guy can't fill a high school auditorium anymore.
