The irony is delicious.

Liberal columnist writes HuffPo piece saying Michelle Bachmann is dumb because she "mistakenly linked her campaign with creepy clown/killer John Wayne Gacy."

Really? When was that?

What she said was that John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa. In fact, John Wayne's parents were married in Waterloo and lived in Waterloo. For all we know there was hot sex at the Morrison home and sometime thereafter the newlyweds moved on to Winterset. Where their son Marion Robert Morrison -- aka John Wayne, the future Hollywood star --  wound up being born. Was he conceived in Waterloo? No idea. But that the Morrison family was from Waterloo? No doubt. None. Zip. That's fact. The John Wayne Gacy business? Total media fiction. She never -- not once -- confused the two. Never.

Mr. Cesca persists, however, (to borrow his phrase) in "mistakenly linking her campaign with creepy clown/killer John Wayne Gacy."

Why?

Let's use his own analysis as he applied it to Bachmann:

1.       Cesca is Genuinely Smart but Wrong.

2.       Cesca is Deliberately Ignorant.

3.       Cesca is Un-or Mis-educated

4.       Cesca is Incompetent or Incapable

5.       Cesca is Genuinely Stupid

This is not unlike shooting fish in a barrel.

So what do you think? Liberal journalist reports something that is...ahhhh...mistaken. That makes him ....1? 2? 3? 4? 5?

We report. You decide.

Silly. Liberals are all smart. And they are never wrong. And if they get do err on the facts on occasion, they invoke the "Evan Thomas" rule: The facts might be wrong, but the narrative is right. So even when they're wrong, they're right.

So it doesn't matter that Sarah Palin never said she could see Russia from her front porch; what matters is that she is a conservative Republican and therefore a de facto moron and she MIGHT AS WELL have said it.

On the other hand, people like Al Gore, John Kerry, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Barack Hussein Obama may APPEAR to be morons to us hicks and benighted souls who still believe in reality.

But if we simply put on our liberal goggles and sprinkle them with mainstream media pixie dust (ground into a fine powder daily by NPR), we will see that the average IQ of each is somewhere around 200.

I believe #5 says it all.

Let's add No. 6: Mr. Cesca is more interested in back slaps from his LSM buddies than truth. You know the drill, bite a conservative ankle get a that's-a-good-dog pat on the head from a co-workers in project Bring America Down.

Controse, I believe you are close. It is actually "he knows what he is saying is a lie/fabrication, but he writes it willingly because he will do anything he can to make a possible Obama opponent appear dumber than Obama. Perhaps Mr. Cesca can find a clip where Michelle says "corpseman" - then at least she could be as dumb as Obama.

Clearly, he's a 2 -- deliberately ignorant -- somewhat like Occam's Tool, but on a grander scale.

This whole "John Wayne Gacy" business was a liberal media setup from the beginning. Is anyone going to tell me that they knew, prior to Michele's statement, that John Wayne was born in Iowa, much less in Winterset? Or that Gacy's first arrest was in Waterloo? Please. Michele was just stating a felt link between herself and The Duke as an Iowa native. The rest is at best irrelevant.

Somebody in the MSM anticipated the possibility that Michele might make a loose statement and was ready to fire. But she never mentioned Gacy, and there is no reason at all to think that he was in her mind at all. The worst part is when "pundits" like George Will mindlessly repeat the canard.

What Michele has to remember is that the MSM is on the hunt. Accuracy and fairness are not on their agenda, annihilating a strong conservative woman is the order of the day.
