A Quinnipiac poll shows that while New Jersey men approve of Christie’s job as governor by a 53-39 percent margin, women disapprove, 54-36. In other words, there’s a massive 17-point gender gap in his approval ratings.

Actually, it’s not Christie himself, it’s his polices. Women like him as a person 41-40 percent (for men, it’s 58-25 percent).

Could the issue be reproductive rights, privacy and government intrusion?

I quote the governor:

First off, it's none of your business.

His policies not popular with the ladies, eh? Sounds like another point in his favor to me. Why'd we ever give them the vote anyhow?

ROTFMOL!

Mike| 6.21.11 @ 7:43PM

OOPS. ROTFLMAO!

New Jersey women are responsible for the mess we are in , actually most women are.

I still remember 1988 when they voted for Lautenberg for senator over Dawkins, a man who had been first in his class at West Point, had won the Heisman trophy and had served in Vietnam. The polls said that he seemed "too macho" for NJ's female morons. They also voted overwhelmingly for McGreevey.

Mike| 6.21.11 @ 9:16PM

Dawkins was good, but not as good as Ricky Dobbs. Go Navy!

RJ| 6.22.11 @ 3:58AM

New Jersey has had some good candidates who didn't get elected - General Pete Dawkins and Jeff Bell come to mind. It pains me that neither one of them served this nation in an elected capacity.

JMS,
Are you serious? Or, are you upping the ante on c.j.'s post?

JMS| 6.21.11 @ 8:36PM

I'm serious. That's what the polls said. I'm still bitter.

Mike| 6.21.11 @ 9:11PM

Sorry you are still bitter.

May I suggest that you pay a little more attention to the ladies? Believe me, they have a brain.

Trust me. It feels so good when you are not dragging the knuckles.

Get real Mike!
The main reason women don't like him is because he doesn't look like a Network Anchorman which is what our President looks like. It is all image anymore!

Hey, McCain would have been lame, but he would have been better than Obama. Check the male/female breakdown there.

Margie| 6.21.11 @ 9:07PM

Anybody but Obama 2012!

Mike| 6.21.11 @ 11:43PM

Margie,
I need some help here.

Louis Tully| 6.21.11 @ 10:40PM

OOooh, too divisive! women dont like her (er him)
Sorry Chris. No GOP future for you!

There is a lot to this. The nation has indeed lurched well to the Left because of women and their a) voting proclivities, b) liberal political activism.

Full disclosure: I am not a real Christie supporter, but he's not my governor. I live elsewhere, so I don't pay that much attention to NJ issues. WE'VE GOT PLENTY OF ISSUES in my home state.

If we are ever going to solve the nation's many ills, we are going to have be painfully, bluntly honest on many topics.

A huge 'topic gorilla' issue in the room is how women (and now the new metrosexual, effeminate, homosexual, very confused males) vote squishy, vote more liberal, vote big government protections, love social welfare programs, and how they love (not all but many) their affirmative action.

We all know we're well on the road to insolvency and demise on this road called socialism. We aren't going to get off the destruction trajectory unless women either 1) lose the franchise (won't happen), or 2) women change their soft, muddled, anti-family, biased, big government ways.

Target #1: The women in positions of authority throughout the nation's academic postings.

These anti-Christie women must have self-esteem problems --- they feel afflicted and victimized --- and the confident, knowledgeable man with an efficient bullshirt sniffer is their worst nightmare.

Isn't the answer obvious? The governor is too fat. Women want a male leader trim and fit who looks presidential not a blubbery blimp.

Purple Lips| 6.22.11 @ 8:52AM

Actually, what women want is a sensitive, androngynous metrosexual whom they can dominate.

Derek Leaberry| 6.22.11 @ 9:13AM

More proof of the horrible mistake the 19th Amendment was, The nurturing sex is also the socialist sex.

Richard| 6.22.11 @ 9:20AM

Actually these poll numbers point out the general dislike amongst women for any male who walks, talks and thinks like a real man.
