Who would have imagined?  David Rothkopf is shocked, horrified even, that Barack Obama lied about providing real change in Washington.

Bad enough that the president appointed a bunch of self-interested, money-grubbing rich people.  Writes Rothkopf on Foreign Policy online:

Worse, the president has let monied interests infect his administration in an even more insidious way. First, having raised more money than any presidential candidate in history, he played a role in actually enhancing what was already the most corrupting influence in American politics -- the dependence of office holders on the rich. While the president often spoke of the small dollar donations to his campaign, you don't raise three quarters of a billion dollars without large aggregations of bigger checks.

Imagine.  A former Chicago politician tossed aside the public financing goos goos and broke all campaign spending records.  To do so, this talented pol relied on rich and influential friends to raise money and in turn rewarded those who supported him.  Instead of choosing the best and brightest, this crusader for change and defender of the disadvantaged appointed the richest and friendliest to office.

Who would have imagined?

Of course. They paid their fair share.

Culture of Corruption (by Michelle Malkin) provides a perfect roadmap of the cronyism and corruption that is the Obama adminstration. Those who voted for Mr. HopeyChangey certainly did get a change. Any whiff of corruption from the Bush adminstration has been completely overwhelmed by Obama.

Imagine that. A defender of the little guy, not only defending, but rewarding his financial cronies.

Now he's going for the REAL gold. One BILLION dollars to buy off even more influence. Politics is politics but this Chicago shyster has taken the 'art' to a new low. Yes indeed, I'm sure the Fiddy-Twoers really like the change he's left in their pockets and hope they can get by until next payday.
