The Debate, Part Two

During the second segment, Newt made a surprising comeback by fielding a question right in his wheelhouse: what to do about the space program. Newt went into full futurism mode, bemoaning our lack of a permanent moon station.

The field failed to adequately field a question about the foreclosure crisis. No one had anything specific to say about that particular economy-wide problem.

The clear loser so far has been moderator John King's time-limit warning system: he just starts saying "uh" when the debaters near their time limits -- obnoxious.

Meanwhile, the Bruins took a 4-0 lead over the Canucks in the first quarter period. [Sorry folks, typing quickly.]

John King looks like he's purposely cutting into the good answers.

This should be the last Republican debate on CNN.

First "Period", Joseph, not First "Quarter."

Hockey is three 20-minute periods.

You sure? LeBron thinks there are three quarters in a game.

I didn't watch much ... but it did seem he was playing on (roller) skates ...

Nothing wrong with the moderator. Many candidates are not answering the questions.

Bachmann is winning.

Few things separate the conservative men from the boys better than NASA. While you could make an argument that military space applications are constitutional, space exploration for space exploration's sake IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Newt revealed his true character as a "futurist," not a conservative, with his babbling about NASA.

The Moon has a tremendous gravity well over Earth. Rocks get thrown well from the Moon, with tremendous kinetic force when they impact. Just sayin'.
