In a new ABC News/Washington Post poll, Mitt Romney has pulled even with Barack Obama. Romney actually leads 49 percen tto 46 percent, though given the margin of error that is statistically insignificant. Romney is the only Republican tested in the poll who performs that well.

Polling right now is all about name recognition. Isn't Romney the only GOP holdover from 2008, Ron Paul notwithstanding?

We nominated a RINO in 2008; how'd that work out for us?

Mike| 6.7.11 @ 3:49PM

Stupid logic. McCain was old and had Sarah Palin as a running mate.

America voted for Obama because that duo wasn't dynamic.

Romney is not a RINO, at least you can't demonstrate that he's a RINO.

1. RomneyCare. If you could even justify this liberal monstrosity then you get:
2. Belief that man is causing global warming.
3. Pro-choice prior to attempting to gain the Republican nomination for President which he magically became agains Roe v. Wade.
4. Helped raise money for Planned Parenthood.
5. As Governor, when selecting judicial nominees, selected more Democrats thatn Republicans.
6. As late as 2005 supported civil unions and strict gun control laws.

Do you want me to continue?

You need to pull your head out of the polls and start looking at the real issues, the candidates, and who might be best to lead us out of this morass.

If this poll has any value at all..it points to the fact that this poser is very vulnerable and growing disatisfaction is mounting.

And right now the Detroit Lions are tied for first place in their division. Will they still be there before the playoffs begin? Polls mean nothing right now.

How long can the liberal media prop up Obama? We see the Weiner meltdown and know he and Obama are birds of a feather.

For all the Romney fans out there:

As one political commentator said, national polls mean very little. Its the state by state caucuses and primaries that select candidates. Besides the Marxist Media keeps pushing Romney. Read their polls with caution.

If all we can Hope for is this type Republican, than there is no future. Romney cannot turn us from this path of debt and spending, of social programs and tyranny. Surgery, not bag balm, is what is required. Alas, we will not find it in the Republican establishment.

Face it libertarians and ultra-right wing conservatives - your message is not relevant.
Your arguments are not strong, and your reasoning isn't sound.

NoLib| 6.7.11 @ 5:54PM

LOL. That's right--insult us, that'll get your boy elected! Putz.

martin j smith| 6.7.11 @ 3:56PM

Put this poll in the garbage bin. ABC?WaPo ?--Puuuuuuuuuuuulllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzz.

Michael L. Hauschild| 6.7.11 @ 5:37PM

When you say "even" I assume that the question was, "Do you hate Romneycare as much as you do Obamacare?" Dead heat.
