It just occurred to me that self-described "communist" and 9/11 truther Van Jones and Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley (D) deploy remarkably similar inflammatory rhetoric against conservatives urging fiscal restraint.

According to left-wingers, anyone who advocates limited government is Osama bin Laden.

President Obama's disgraced former green jobs czar, who is now a "senior fellow" at John Podesta's Center for American Progress Action Fund, recently compared Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) to Islamofascist terrorists.

Said Jones

I'm not afraid to say that Paul Ryan's budget is a threat to our country. Paul Ryan's budget would knock out more critical infrastructure than al-Qaeda ever dreamed of.

Of course, it's nonsense on stilts but par for the course for radical demagogues.

In 2005, O'Malley, at the time mayor of Baltimore, likened President George W. Bush to bin Laden's operatives.

Back on September 11, terrorists attacked our metropolitan cores, two of America's great cities. They did that because they knew that was where they could do the most damage and weaken us the most. Years later, we are given a budget proposal by our commander in chief, the president of the United States. And with a budget ax, he is attacking America's cities. He is attacking our metropolitan core.

Bear in mind Bush was only trying to reduce spending by a mere $2 billion (on community development programs).

Incidentally, both Jones and O'Malley make guest appearances in my new book, Subversion Inc.: How Obama's ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers.

Ann Coulter makes a good point when she says that the Democrats support the mob and that the mob itself is demonic. We, the American people have been far to tolerant of mob politics.
