I have enjoyed Roger Kaplan’s dispatches from Roland Garros over the past week. I think a case can be made that Kaplan’s coverage of the French Open was probably as comprehensive as that of The Tennis Channel.

With that said I’m not sure what’s more impressive. Rafael Nadal’s six French Open titles or Roger Federer’s six Wimbledons? Whatever the case, anytime a male tennis player is put in the same company of Bjorn Borg that can’t be bad.

Still, Nadal will always have Paris.

Borg quit tennis at his peak in a pique because he couldn't beat John McEnroe, who had a much better all-around game. Borg is one of the great tennis players, but both Federer and Nadal long ago surpassed him.

I couldn't agree more. The coverage from Mr. Kaplan has been superb, and I think better than the the online coverage by either ESPN or The Tennis Channel. Vamos Rafa
