Jewish White Males, traditionally, have had quotas in elite universities to keep the numbers DOWN. FDR, for example, sliced the number of Jews at Harvard in half. FDR, of course, was a tool.

My Dad who was lucky (?) to be a coal miner during the depression (he also died from miners asthma) often said that Roosevelt was more interested in bailing out the rich people he came from than he was in helping the working man.

The weight of that chip ever bother you much, Occam's Tool? The "quotas" for Jews were back in the 20s, 30s, and 40s. By the 1960s, Jews were heavily over-represented (proportional to population, since that's what liberal Jews always cite to demand more places for blacks, their brothers in persecution) in colleges. Harvard today is approximately 25% Jewish (compared to 2% of the U.S. population) but, as you remind us, the poor dears traditionally suffer from quotas "to keep the numbers DOWN." Occam's Tool, the eternal victim.

Sorry to say, neocons, race & culture mean a lot. If you study voting patterns, you would learn that people by and large, vote according to their race/ethnic group - except for native born white Americans (liberals).

For the country's first century, the Democrats neutralized minorities by slavery. Then the GOP took slavery away.
So the Democrats invented Jim Crow to stop minorities, who were overwhelmingly GOP, from voting. So the GOP took away Jim Crow--yes they did: Democrats couldn't get enough Dem votes with 2/3 Congressional majorities.
Then Democrats re-enslaved minorities, but with a twist: Dems bought their votes with public money and identity politics. And that's where we are today.
