Later this afternoon, the Senate will consider the
McConnell-Inhofe amendment and three Democratic alternatives. Sens.
Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Jim Inhofe (R-OK) are trying to prevent
the EPA from instituting a backdoor cap-and-trade scheme through
the agency’s power to regulate greenhouse gases. Sen. Joe Manchin
(D-WV) has predicted 13-15 Democratic votes for McConnell-Inhofe.
Will he be right?
UPDATE: Evidently not. McConnell-Inhofe failed on a 50-50 vote,
10 short of the 60 the amendment needed.

May this put the whole man-made global warming scam to rest. Now lets start drilling in ANWR and lets start becoming energy independent. Imagine the money the US could make by becoming a major oil and gas exporter.

I am guessing McConnell-Inhofe will prevail and some liberal flatulence polluter will file a lawsuit.

The Marxists in our country don't want us to be energy self-sufficient because it would make it more difficult for them to take over.
They have to destroy our system in order to replace it with Marxism

Rein in nothing. Cut the funding back to 2000 levels or better still eliminate this costly counterproductive agency altogether.
