Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s office put out a press
release this morning repeating Vice President Joe Biden’s
announcement that Democrats and congressional Republicans have
agreed in principle to a number for the budget cuts. The Reid
statement says the cuts will be “$73 billion below the President’s
budget proposal.”
But Reid can’t resist taking a few shots at the
Republican-passed HR 1’s cuts and the more conservative members of
the conference.”I appreciate Speaker Boehner’s participation in
these talks,” Reid said. “I’m sure it’s not easy trying to
negotiate with the Tea Party screaming in his right ear.”

No doubt Weeper Boehner appreciates the props in the spirit in which they are meant. It's no secret he despises the Tea Parties, which are just sooooo embarrassing to the efforts of the cowardly tear-stained necktie model's efforts to play nicely with the Democrats.
This way, the Left gets to keep the government going, gets its $100 billion for Obamacare, gets pretty much everything it wants.
What do the Tea Parties get? Well, nothing. But in Washington whether it's Republican "leaders" or Democrats as a whole, that's how they think it should be.

So now it's personal, the TP vs Dingy!

Reid took care of the Tea Party in Nevada,
so he is on a roll. The Dems are gearing up
for a trashing of the Tea Party. They must
destroy them before 2012.

Yes, it is hard to ignore the demands of the American people unless you are a Democrat with a lifetime of experience doing it.

Is the "Reply to This" function not working for everyone or just me?
LarryK| 3.31.11 @ 1:48PM

Note to 'ol Harryars: It must being in political bed with your Democrat indigent constituents [not to mention your corrupt Vegas labor union bosses]that constantly are demanding FREE GOVERNMENTAL WELFARE, all paid at TAXPAYER EXPENSE, right??????????
Dixie Pixie| 3.31.11 @ 3:16PM
LiveFree and Larry, you are both right.
The ( Reply To This ) function has been deleted from the entire TAS website.
The function failure extends even to the Archives.
Does anyone know why the function disappeared?
Is this a temporary malfunction or a permanent modification of the TAS website?
Dixie Pixie| 4.1.11 @ 4:46PM
Praise be to the Webmaster.
Hallowed be his name.
For the the (Reply To This) function is back, with his Blessings.

I never used it. What is it used for? (Call me stupid, but not to my face)
jgo| 3.31.11 @ 6:32PM
"$73G below the President's budget proposal" is not a serious proposal. The deficit (not the debt, just the deficit) is expected to be somewhere around $1.7T ($1,700G), and that debt needs to be paid down. So, the next bid by the left SHOULD be about $1.5T in cuts, to be followed by the liberals' proposal for $2T in cuts (rather than the $2.5T they'd like). After which the left should bid $1.75T in cuts and the liberals $1.85T in cuts... until they arrive by mutual reasonable concessions at about $1.8T in cuts.
jgo| 3.31.11 @ 6:39PM
"I never used (Reply To This). What is it used for?"
It was so that replies to someone a comment would appear a little bit indented, and then a reply to that reply would be indented a little more. This way nested threads of discussion could be easily followed.
Back in ye olden days on usenet, we would do this more or less manually, by inserting chevrons ">" at the beginning of each line of text of a preceding post to which we were responding. You'd end up with
> Kathy replied to George:
>> George replied to Jessica:
>>> Jessica replied to Henry:
>>>> Henry replied to Phred:
>>>>> Phred wrote:
>>>>> the stuff that Phred wrote.
jgo's reply to what Phred wrote

>>> Jessica's reply to Henry's reply to what Phred wrote
jgo's reply to Jessica...

"I'm sure it's not easy trying to negotiate with the Tea Party screaming in his right ear."
Now we know why Boehner is deaf, his fellow RINO's are screeming in his other ear.

We Tea Party Patriots are glad to War with The Big Government Parasite Leech, Reid.

I want to give a huge shout out to Donald Trump, too. I've never been a big fan of Mr. Trump--but his mug is looking better and better to me every single day.
He has a birth certificate and I know he loves our country, and that's a heck of a lot more than the corruptocrat clown in the White House right now.

Where is my damn reply to this button?
Fluffs above says, "Reid took care of the Tea Party in Nevada, so he is on a roll. The Dems are gearing up for a trashing of the Tea Party. They must
destroy them before 2012".
Ah Fluffs, you're a funny little fluff, aren't you? Yes you are!! Old Harry only won in November, by bringing in his Union thugs to help out, and they "made sure" that all their Union members who wanted to vote or not, made it to the polling booth, and I'm sure a few of the walking dead in Vegas made it there too. So good for Harry, we expected nothing less from him anyway!! I can assure you of one thing though Fluffy, come January 2013, Harry's "not" going to be the Majority Leader anymore, because your gearing up to destroy the Tea Party, is going to fall a little bit short. The Democratic Party has hit its high water mark, and from here on out, you should get used to losing ground. Get used to it!!
caroline| 3.31.11 @ 9:59PM
As we saw in Wisconsin, it's liberals who do the screaming.
Clint| 3.31.11 @ 10:51PM
The Stormin' Mormon still trails The Tea Party.
Rasmussen Polling:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is viewed favorably by 32% of Likely Voters, up from 25% in February. Fifty percent (50%) share an unfavorable opinion of the Nevada Democrat, down five points from a month ago. Those numbers include Very Favorable reviews from just eight percent (8%) and Very Unfavorable grades from 33%.
We Tea Party Patriots will turn The Mouthy Mouse,Reid into The Minority Leader of The Senate in 2012.
The Tea Party Rebellion Escalates.
Carpe Diem.

The Tea Party should be encouraged by Reid--as long as he and his fellow Socialist Jerks continue on their path of maligning the Tea Party the more THEY have energy and a good reason to fight. In fact it is among the BEST REASONS TO FIGHT BACK!!!!!!! But no the only one. Its about this country.
PattyMor| 4.1.11 @ 9:50AM
The fight over the current budget is just chicken scratching whether its $100 B, $71 B, $61 B, or $31 B. The deficit is $1.6 T folks. This is a staggering amount of money.
With that said, the real "rubber hits the road" when the debt celing limit is reached. If the Rats cave easily, we will know that the Republic is just about fully cooked. The debt celing increase will give the Rats an inordinate amount of power. Let's see if they use it wisely.
