Politico reported yesterday that “it’s not easy being green anymore” and whined, “It’s no secret environmentalists are outgunned when it comes to cash,” as though they are hopelessly losing every political battle. I partially (I say “partially” because there is so much more that can and has been written) debunk that myth over at the National Legal & Policy Center blog today.

A man of faith in a godless age is hitting Americans where it hurts.
Mr. and Mrs. American Spectator Reader, let P.J. O’Rourke talk sense to your kids.
In Britain, defending your property can get you life.
The debacle of this president’s administration is both a cause and a symptom of the decline of American values. Unless Congress impeaches him, that decline will go on unchecked. An eminent jurist surveys the damage and assesses the chances for the recovery of our culture.
It won’t take long for conservatives to scratch this presidential wannabe off their 2008 scorecard.
The American Christmas, like the songs that celebrate it, makes room for everybody under the rainbow. Is that why so many people seem to be hostile to it?
Was the President done in by the economy, or by the politics of the economy?

I will believe that "Big Green" has been muted when the following things occur:
1. We get back real, non-poisonous functioning light bulbs.
2. We get 1.80 gas prices because we are drilling for and tapping oil in our own back yard using our own vast recerves.
3. We have reasonably inexpensive electric bills because our abundant coal resources are going to fuel our efficient and decently clean coal fired generators, AND we are building new nuclear facilities in every state of the union.
and most especially...

Big green outmoneyes? Like hell it is. Every taxpayer in the nation supports big green wether they want to or not. How many hundreds of billions of subsidies and handouts has big green gotten over the decades? How many stupid regulations are made to stuff the pockets of big corn and GE? Politico ain't got no sense no how...

When the subsidies end for GE, Solyandra (and other Solar Panel Companies), GM (to produce expensive putt putt cars), and the stupid ethanol program, then I'll believe it.
Then there is their scare tactics: Dirty Coal, Dirty Water due to Fracking, and on and on.
Why do we subsidize Brazil & Mexico to drill, but shut down U.S. drilling?
