Yesterday, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon lambasted Israel at a regional UN meeting in Uruguay.

So what else is new?

Ban specifically called on Israel to stop expanding settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem as well as to ease the blockade on Hamas in Gaza. The Secretary General stated, “Actions that prejudge the outcome of the process must stop.” If that wasn’t enough Ban also praised the efforts of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank “to establish viable State institutions.”

Frankly, I don’t know what “viable State institutions” in the Palestinian Authority to which Ban was referencing. But the Secretary General made no mention of Mahmoud Abbas’ overtures to Hamas, made no mention of its culpability in the massacre of the Fogel family, made no mention of the recent bombing in Jerusalem nor did he make any mention of the escalating rocket attacks into Israel from Gaza.

I guess Ban doesn’t deem Palestinian behavior constitute “actions that prejudge the outcome of the process.”

Why the heck are we still in the UN? It's a pathetic organization, a money pit, and a haven for anti-semitism. Let's drop out and call it a budget cut.

Israel is in extreme peril right now and I pray for them everyday. Cass Sunstein's wife, Samantha Power, is an adviser to Obama and is stridently anti-Israel.

Most of the characters that launched Obama's political career are anti-Israel. Probably one of the reasons why he is using the UN resolution as grounds wage war on Libya. Whenever Israel has had enough of the rockets, bombs and murders and decides to take action, he will allow the UN to dictate to him actions against our best ally in the region. Just an thought, I may be wrong.

I don't think you're wrong at all. When is Obama going to try to use OUR troops sgainst Israel?

Defund the UN, a key support for murderous tyrants.

Aaron,
Get Congress to de-fund the lights and rent for the UN in New York.

"Viable State institutions" include Departments of Mining (tunneling), Aviation (rocket-launching), Health & Human Services (suicide bombing) and Finance (begging). They got 'em all right.

Ban is right: Israel needs to stop expanding. The way the Zionists took that land from the Palestinians in the 1940's is akin to Native Americans storming up to our houses and telling us we need to leave because they were here first - but it was hundreds of years ago. The entire way that country was formed was a violation of sovereignty and the US supports it? Come on. And to anyone who believes that being anti-Israel is the same as being an anti-Semite: some of my closest friends are Jewish, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to take Israel's side on every single issue. Israel is militant, dogmatic, and stubborn. And above all else, our country alienates a huge percent of the world's population just by supporting Israel. Where would Israel be without the United States? Yet we risk our diplomatic and military strength every day that we support the Israelis.
