Budget talks between the Democratic-controlled Senate and Republican-controlled House have reportedly stalled. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says the Tea Party is to blame:

The infighting between the tea party and the rest of the Republican party, including the Republican leadership in Congress, is keeping our negotiating partner [from] the negotiating table. It’s pretty hard to negotiate without someone on the other side of the table to talk to.

Of course, Reid failed to pass a budget last year when his party controlled the White House and both houses of Congress, and there was no Tea Party caucus to speak of.

Harry Red Reid is a chronic liar as is Obama and most every Democrat Socialist. Besides that The Socialist Democrat Party cannot deal with anyone disagreeing with them at all. The solution keep at their necks--and its the Tea Party in action thank G-d.

I think Old Harry is finally starting to "get it"!! That the Tea Party is for real, and that he, and his Communist Party (that's the Democratic Party, just in case you're confused) is going to have to deal with it, just like the Republican Party is learning to deal with it too, because it's not going away. So get used to it Harry, or don't, we really don't care!! 2012 is coming soon enough, and we've got more surprises in store for you, like that Title of yours, we're taking it away from you. I guarantee it!!

Reid is speaking to Boehner and Cantor, not into his oatmeal. He has already scared the dynamic duo with talks of a government shutdown to the extent where the leadership is telling the freshman tea party to go pound sand. The ultimate goal is for Democrats to sever the Republican leadership from the tea party. It is the only hope for Democrats to take back power in 2012.

"It's pretty hard to negotiate without someone on the other side of the table to talk to."

Given the walkouts in WI and IN recently (IN's ended today) to prevent Right to Work legislation, his observation couldn't be more ironic.

Go Tea Party! Shut down this spendthrift abortion masquerading as a government. The Senate likes to call itself the Greatest Deliberative Body in the World. How about the Greatest Debilitating Body in the World, instead?

BD57| 3.28.11 @ 7:30PM

"Our side" needs to answer this bilgewater.

No, it isn't "self-evident" - not to the people we will need to side with us to gain a majority in 2012, etc.

The people who are preventing "negotiation" are the Democrats who insist nothing serious need be done about trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see.

CalMark| 3.28.11 @ 7:48PM

Of course the GOP won't fire back. No, wussy-wussy little cowards like Boehner, Cantor, and McConnell are afraid of defending themselves with the truth.

They might get crossed off invites to the parties where the cool kids hang out. Horrors!

Michael L. Hauschild| 3.28.11 @ 8:53PM

Blame the Tea Party? He has no inkling about the amount of "responsibility" the Tea Party is about to provide.

Oldefarte| 3.28.11 @ 10:43PM

Old Harry-ars is a decrepid old fool, and a liar to boot. The disagreements among the Republicans should also be occuring within the Democrats, if in fact they gave a rat's ars about the welfare of this country[which they do not]. All Democrats care about is GOVERNMENTAL WELFARE, and the soaking of the so-called [their definition=anyone with an income] rich throughout taxiation, in order to provide governmental welfare to their indigent [translation=anyone without income] constituents. While Europe has boiled over economically and on the verge of bankruptcy [and attempting to reduce their governmental expendatures accordingly to avoid same], these Democrat morons running our country are driving our economic bus completely over the cliff, by doing enay/every thing to raise taxes and increase governmental expendatures. Democrats are simply trying [and suceeding] to DESTROY THIS COUNTRY. If November of 2012 doesn't result in an increase in Republicans in DC [and correspondingly in a defeat of as many as possible of the remaining Blue Dog Democrats], this country will simply CEASE TO EXIST in the near future thereafter. We can only go one way when the fork in the road comes in November of 2012. There will no longer be a middle ground of kicking the can down the road!!!!!!!!!

Yosemeti Sam| 3.28.11 @ 11:35PM

And, um, who do Dingy blame for his dishonorable character?

wodiej| 3.29.11 @ 8:33AM

Hmm, sounds like Reid met his match w the Tea Party. He's not just dealing w the party of RINO's now.

Delores Smith| 4.5.11 @ 1:24AM

HARRY REID, don't blame the Tea Party, because you fear them. You've got better things to do. Try figuring out if your election was a fraud. Start with The Washington Examiner, then check SEIU who worked at the NV polls, when lo and behold, a power outage stopped the counting of votes in Cook County, NV. Next, contact the executives of Harrah's casinos. Check to see if all the union workers were bussed to the polls and ordered to vote for you. Harry, you have a mess still pending. Clean it up!
