Meanwhile in Virginia

Tim Kaine seems to be edging closer to a Senate run, making him the likely Democratic nominee. George Allen and the Republicans hope to make the race a referendum on Obama, who carried the state in 2008 but will have to work hard to do so next year.

Hmmm. I wonder if George Allen will refrain from calling Obama a n*gger this time around.

And why can't you losers come up with someone who isn't such a blatant racist? Seriously, George Allen? This is the best you can do?

God you people are stupid.

James,

Kaine won't be hard. He is not Mark Warner and after the McDonnell Administration found a $1B slush fund, Kaine's credibility dropped. It's a layup campaign commercial.

The reason the Dems need to run Kaine even though he will lose is to preserve the Dem GOTV infrastructure and give Dems a reason to participate beyond President **IN THIS YEAR's VA *** elections. We love elections in VA and have them for either State of local office EVERY year in addition to federal elections...

If the Dems don't have more hope going into 2012, their GOTV efforts will lose more focus and capability and they will not be able to get VA's 11 electoral college votes; no Presidency for the Dems and no Supreme court appointments for the Dems after 2012. Without the Supreme Court tilted left making liberalism law, liberalism I more easily dismantled. That's the game - it's why Gerry Connelly got a disproportionate amount of limited DNCC $ relative to other races similarly situated around the country. Connelly is in Fairfax, with him in place DEM infrastructure is in place. Take him out; you degrade Dem GOTV infrastructure; which did not happen.

Running Kaine prevents further degradation of Dem GOTV infrastructure.

Keep your eye on the VA Senate – if that flips this year, then President Obama’s chances of winning VA drop more. Obama won VA in 2008 due to a superior ground game. That game is degraded now and can be further degraded while the Republican GOTV improves using the Tea Party energy.

I see we have the usual vile lying leftist posting their Moveon.org talking points and playing the same tired Race card . I guess thats all a lefty can do is post DNC talking points after that DNC lobotomy which is now required since logic and leftist BS is too much for a normal brain to handle.
