Green jobs are ‘census’ jobs in that they are temporary jobs that disappear as soon as the political will to continue the wealth transfers from Peter to Paul, the Ponzi-style scheme, running. So ‘opportunity cost’ calculations on jobs lost are inherently understated.
We’ve got a new entrant today.
As has been well publicized, Spain lost 2.2 jobs lost per ‘green jobs’ created.
Italy lost 4.8 jobs per ‘created’ job (story here, study here).
And, today, from the UK„ 3.7 jobs lost (story here, study here).
Which is why all of the EU countries are stepping back from what they created.
But, it’ll be different this time.

You notice that "Jackwagon harp" resorts to insults (oh my, is Jackwagon an insult - gee, I'm so stupid). Thus he is not confident enough in his arguments so he has to resort to using names and insults to perhaps convince others of his superiority.
By the way, construction jobs for "real construction" (like highways, dams, buildings) are temporary but they leave behind something that will be used and perhaps even enjoyed by those who paid for them (taxpayers, private entitied, etc.). However, the construction jobs used to build a solar panel factory or solar mirror complex (using subsidies forceably taken from the taxpayer) that then closes down without building a single panel or generating a single watt are useless in that they built something what was nothing more than a boondoggle and will never ever do anything of value. Indeed, the now empty building may actually become a hazard.
The same goes for the bullet train proposal - billions will be spent so that a few Joe Bidens and rich green supporters will be able to ride the rails and feel morally superior to all of us "stupid people".

That's as may be. However, the idea that it will cost between two and five jobs plus several hundred thousand dollars in subsidies (paid for by taxpayers) to create a single "green" job, means that the concept is not sustainable or economic or efficient. At some point it might be. However, we're a long way from that point now.

Its even worse than that in my opinion. Once you go down the trail of inefficiencies you are no longer responsive to better ways to do things. That is because those better ways may cost jobs. I see this in the computer field when dealing with Indian contractors. They will not make things efficient, they just add more people instead.

For that to be "causal" it would read:

The causality I established would be a return of confidence in our nations fiscal situation.
So, spending cuts, which will inevitably destroy govt jobs, will add to the private sector job numbers via a return of financial confidence in our markets and a return of domestic capital investment.

OSHA has been in operation for 40 years now, and workplace accidents haven't decreased AT ALL! And we spend 250 million a year on OSHA.
So please, show me proof of how they are effective at keeping me safe.

Folks, I think his last statement underlines the basic problem with people like this.
He says govt is keeping him safe. He WANTS a Nanny. He wants no self-responsibility. He wants to be taxed at 100% like in Cuba and have the govt give him what he needs to get by.
I believe De Tocqueville was correct in the early 1800's in saying that america wouldn't fall victim to a traditional tyrant, but we would fall victim to a soft tyrant. He called them "Guardians." he said that about 180 years ago.
