I'd like those who keep calling for U.S. "action" on Egypt to explain what exactly they are proposing. What, for example, does this mean: "Instead, the United States... should support liberal democratic principles and modernizing institutions -- now."

By doing what? Specifics, please.

"By doing what?"

Well that's easy. Obviously we should invade them. Nothing says "liberal democratic principles and modernizing institutions" like bullets and bombs. We could drop off a military contingent in Egypt on our way to invade Iran.

Indeed, this is true, although Clint may not see it. As Mel, the Cook on Alice put it, the best Deefense is a good Oh-fense.

"Clint"?

Occam's Tool| 2.9.11 @ 3:28PM

Comment enough here and you will run into Clint. He is Barely Literate, and Capitalizes All of His Sentences. He Has All the Understanding of Foreign Affairs of Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich.

Here, let me show you with an actual quote from the "Master" Debater himself:

We Tea Party Patriots Say "America First".

Drill Our Own Oil, Build Our Own Nuke Energy Plants, Secure Our Borders, Arrest & Deport All Illegal Aliens & Put All Foreign Aid On The Deficit Spending Chopping Block.

The Tea Party Rebellion Escalates.

Rise Up.

As Stan Lee would say, "Nuff said." He also uses the term Israel Firster a lot. Boring, repetitive, and no style.

Occam's Tool| 2.9.11 @ 3:35PM

Now, keep in mind that I also support building our own nukes and drilling our own oil, deporting/shooting illegal aliens, etc. It's just that isolationism is a loser, historically.

JimH| 2.10.11 @ 6:50AM

As a matter of curiosity, could you cite an example of a country that failed while maintaining both a strong defense and what you term an isolationist foreign policy. Since you are a Stan Lee fan I will award you a No Prize if you can do it.

Clint| 2.9.11 @ 5:24PM

The Master 'bator Israel Firster AgendaGirl Tool Job is all atwitter because Our Tea Party Senator Dr. Rand Paul wants to put all Foreign Aid on The Deficit Spending Chopping Block.

Hyper-Interventionist| 2.10.11 @ 12:47PM

I know who Clint is. I thought you were implying that Hyper-Interventionist was Clint.

?| 2.10.11 @ 12:53PM

OT, you do realize that "Hyper-Interventionist" is spoofing the hyper-interventionist position by stating it in a deliberately absurd manner, and supports a foreign policy like Ron Paul's. I can't tell by your reply if you get that or were taken in by Hyper

Clint| 2.9.11 @ 5:15PM

Fixated Israel Firster Tool Job is very upset & all PMS'y because many of We Tea Party Patriots Ain't Asskissin' Tool Job's Israel Firster Agenda.

I'm a big fan of the dead voting. (I grew up in Chicago)

We could sen the Egpytians to Europe (they need the people), and turn Egypt into another Las Vegas. Problem solved.

The refudiator| 2.9.11 @ 7:58PM

I'm with the tool on the invade thing.
