Via Deadline London, here's a publicity photo of Meryl Streep in the role of Margaret Thatcher for a film that is currently being shot in London.

Well Mr. Klein,
now we will get to see just how good an actress Ms. Streep can be.
Streep has demonstrated tha she is a total leftist America hater over the years.
Can she fake conservatism convincingly?

Amazing. Maybe Ms. Streep will finally learn a thing or two about RIGHT thinking in her life?

Who did this casting?

One can hope, but not too much. My initial take: This is shameful. Lady Thatcher still lives. So within her lifetime she will see herself presented by a two-bit nothing human who has nothing of value to add to the human race.

Maybe she'll have to stay on-script and the script will be well written?

Well, if nothing else, this might help younger people who do not know the Maggie Thatcher of the 1980's appreciate what a real leader is supposed to be. Lady Thatcher is worth emulating.

another hit piece by a pieces of hollywood trash.

Meryl Streep was very, very good as Julia Child. The movie was only so/so, but Streep was a hoot.

Pretty hard to see how a movie about a politician can sustain the interest of the average moviegoer without making the thing a sham. How many moviegoers care about Thatcherism economics or the poll tax, which bounced her out of office?
