Republican efforts to repeal the national health care law have failed in the U.S. Senate, by a 47 to 51 vote. All Republicans voted for it, and all Democrats who voted, voted no.

Earlier, the Senate voted overwhelmingly to overturn the law’s 1099 provision, 81 to 17.

Hey Philip,
do you recken the Dems played "scissors, paper, rock" to see who had to stay and vote it down?
(grin)

Has there ever been a bigger distinction between two political parties. Now if the SCOTUS ends this, the Dems are toast.

Wayne,
what is really scary is that a supreme might get sick and retire................or die.

I am sure the death panel would like to get an early start.

In the case of the Democrats, they displayed all the "party discipline" of lemmings hurtling off a cliff....

What I want to know is who or what kept all those spineless RINOs in line. Even Moocowski & the Maine sisters voted for repeal. The GOP should keep trying to repeal Obamacare even if they know it won't pass the Senate. Keep making the Democrats stand up for a law which has already been ruled unConstitutional by a Federal judge & come 2012 don't let the people forget how the Democrats thumbed their nose at The U.S. Constitution, not to mention the American people over & over again. Make 'em own it!

I concur.

81-17.....81-17...81-17. What? Did someone finally read the bill? Could someone read the rest of it to them?

Stan Redmond| 2.3.11 @ 2:23PM

This 1099 was thrown in so that the Dems can "perfect" the bill with bipartisan support. Nothing more than a little bone to make the sheeple think both parties are polishing this turd of a law.

I guess Joe Manchin wasn't as against Obamacare as he was during his campaign. Kick the bum out!

Wayne | 2.3.11 @ 11:43AM

Proving once again a vote for ANY Democrat is a vote of Pelosi, Reid and Obama.

LarryK| 2.3.11 @ 1:21PM

Joe Manchis is for Joe Manchin!

AGAIN

---Not only will NOTHING CHANGE, but the
agendas of the Globalist 'Big Boys' call for things
to grow much worse ---and at an accelerating
rate, in order to bring to the fore the completed
model of 'world consolidation' (i.e. MASS
cultural liquidation and standardization)

---and, as ever, 'population easing' (i.e. incremental stealth genocide).

UNTIL the FED is opened, audited, prosecuted
and dismantled ---ALONG with the insidious
network of fiat currency bankster-globalists
and their TAX FREE network of 'charitable'
foundations --NOW known to have had their
funds and fingerprints ALLLLL over such things
as WWI, the Bolshevik Coup d'etat, the Great
Depression (SEE Milton Friedman on this)
----covering up the Soviet halocaust ---enabling
Hitlerian eugenics dreams to be realized
(I.G Farben, Bayer, IBM for starters)
---outright calculated betrayal of China into
the hands of MAO ---our current cultural, moral
and even national meltdown -----------etc. etc.

NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

I BELIEVE! I BELIEVE ... finally someone REALLY, REALLY SMART comes along to explaine it ALL!!

Have you considered| 2.3.11 @ 7:33AM

I hope the folks in Delaware, Alaska, Washington State, Colorado and Nevada are happy with their new senator's vote.

WhiteBikerTrash| 2.3.11 @ 10:25AM

Sorry to inform you, but the "New" Senator from Washington State is the same old Progressive Senator that has held the seat for a long time. The Republican Party ran a three time loser against her insuring her win once again. I thank the Republican Party for our Senator. Looking forward to how they screw up the next election.

Cliff| 2.3.11 @ 1:44PM

With all do respect, you're an idiot. Dino Rossi has indeed lost 3 times. But he's by far the most conservative candidate to get close in modern history in Washington State. And they had to steal the 2004 Governor's election from him to keep him out of office.

There is not, and there was not, a more conservative viable challenger to Murray. Dino took it on knowing he had the only chance to beat her, and knowing it was an uphill fight. He deserves our thanks, not our scorn.

Eric| 2.3.11 @ 3:19PM

What's to repeal if it has been held unconstitutional? Does this mean that all democrats have voted to overthrow the limits of the constitution?
