Any news when the protesters are going to take the US Embassy personal hostage.
The Obama administration seems to be trying duplicate the worst faults of past Democratic Party governments.

Can't wait until the dems try to blame this on Bush. I guess that little hopey/changey speech the One gave in Cairo did not help much, or did it--by diminishing our prestige and thus undermining our, however imperfect, allies in the region.

This has been a long time coming. It's more or less a fallout of the necessity of keeping some people in power through the Cold War; unfortunately, in Egypt (which is a LOT more secular than many in the US probably imagine, and why this is happening), Mubarak stayed in power a bit too long.
Not that I'm enthusiastic about anyone being in power, but we're looking at probably something a little more secular jumping in. Maybe.

Once upon a time we had a state department. It wasn't perfect, but it had Americans in it.

And actively they looked out for American interests.
Now not so much...

Clearly these violent protests were fomented by the violent, divisive, extreme rhetoric used by Sarah Palin, the T.E.A. party, and Michele Bachmann.
Oh....yeah....and Mrs. Palin's target map too!

The State Department has had Alger Hisses in it since the 1950s. Refer to Keith Laumer's discussion of it in any of his Retief novels. The one State Department guy I know is a Libtard from Brown.
