No O'Reilly will drool and slobber and throw him soft balls.
R Martin| 1.24.11 @ 8:51AM
That's why O'Reilly got the interview. It will be interesting to see if O'Reilly, whom I regard as the worst interviewer on TV, repeatedly interrupts the president during responses as he does with virtually all his other guests.
Too Many Tims| 1.24.11 @ 10:01AM
Bill O'Reilly is what happens when you let an Irishman sober up.
O'Donnell is a nut| 1.23.11 @ 7:21PM
He should sit down for an interview with Olbermann. Oh, wait, Olbermann is off the air. My bad. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
I don't know which is sweeter, Olbermann's dismissal, the resultant "how will we go on" crying from his tiny fan base or Alan Grayson's annihilation a couple of months ago.
Louis Tully| 1.23.11 @ 7:59PM
The BOR-Maobama interview is to be avoided unless you are a fan of softballs and fawning.
Paul McGrath| 1.23.11 @ 8:35PM
O'Reilly will ask him a bunch of puffball questions in a stern way, show a complete misunderstanding of the things that are enraging conservatives, then for several months claim that he gave Oblablablama a tough interview. Time for the mope to retire.
Grzmlyk| 1.24.11 @ 9:41AM
Paul, I have to say, you nailed it completely.
For the next year we'll be hearing about what a hard-hitting, unflinching, and courageous "journalist" O'Reilly is - entirely from his own mouth, of course.
Gee, I wonder why they changed the name of his show from "The No Spin Zone."
O'Reilly's takeway from this love fest will be that Obama's really a very nice, decent, reasonable, incredibly intelligent and well-informed guy who means well and that, surely, he will now tack to the center after innocently misjudging America's penchant for Marxism.
But it gets worse. This interview will no doubt give O'Moron fodder for another of his bizarre and wierdly symbiotic appearances on The View.
I guess I shouldn't wonder at his affinity for that show - it's where he really belongs. He relishes the role of the pretend bad boy holding court over a coven of cackling fishwives.

your comments are not playing too well in rural Minnesota.

Aaron, I feel stabbed by a fellow Conservative Landtzmann. Oww, the pain. Let's see the resuilts of the MRI of the knee, eh?

Once again, O bet on the Bears, and they lost.
What is it about this guy bringing so much doom even in sports? Remember Michael Vick?
Grzmlyk| 1.24.11 @ 9:10AM
As a Bears fan, I am in mourning today. What a pathetic performance (ok, the defense had its moments).
Then again, what do you expect when Cloris Leachman is your quarterback? Funny how the Bears have been so incredibly successful over the years at spotting and signing overrated quarterbacks who lack crucial skills (in Cutler's case, it is leadership). It's not all Cutler's fault, and I agree with those who say it's not a matter of toughness. The guy's tough. He's just inconsistent and unable to do what superstars always do - elevate the level of play of those around him.
But the Bears' problems go well beyond Cutler - a rickety offensive line, skittish receivers, an inconsistent defense, and a head coach who, no matter what, is always sumpremely impressed with himself.
As for O'Reilly, I understand he's been buying Chapstick by the case ever since Obama agreed to the interview.
All of that ass kissing is bound to test even O'Reilly's well-worn lips.
Then again, he's been kissing liberal asses for so long, his lips ought to be pretty callused by now.
People, if you watch O'Reilly's execrable show, please stop. The guy's ratings are through the roof, which is not only flabbergasting given what a no-talent piece of crap he is, but that's what inflates his already gargantuan ego - and his wallet.
Not bad for a guy who's a complete phony, an Obama lickspittle and an intellectual lightweight.
And those are his good points.
Lisa| 1.24.11 @ 3:36PM
Cloris Leachman would have been a better QB than what's-his-face.
Seeing how the two O's (3 if you count Oprah) are phonies, this "hard-hitting" interview should make Chris "Tingle Up My Leg" Matthews cringe!
Grzmlyk| 1.24.11 @ 5:29PM
Actually, the Bears tried to sign Cloris, but she didn't want to play for the McCaskey family. Who can blame her? The Bears organization rewards mediocrity and cannot recognize excellence.
However, the good news is that Betty White becomes a free agent next year and the Bears can probably scoop her up if they offer enough incentives.
You make an interesting point about Mattews - I wonder: If one were to show a blind transcript of the O'Reilly/Obama interview to an unknowing observer afterwards, might they not make the mistake of thinking it was Matthews asking the "hard hitting" (nudge, nudge, wink wink) questions?
After all, it's pretty clear the O'Reilly shares the same Tingling Leg Syndrome that afflicts Matthews.

The NFL has created a real public relations problem for themseleves with a Super Bowl featuring a serial rapist as QB of one of the competing teams.
The media circus that usually attends the Super Bowl will be fraught with Q&As; about underaged girls plyed with booze and Lake Tahoe casino hostesses claiming sexual abuse (rape and gambling; Pete Rozelle must be spinning in his grave).
Given the feminists have fabricated false allegations of increased domestic abuse around Super Bowl Sunday in the past, they now have a legitimate claim to press during this year's media week.
Very sad day for the NFL.
Pete| 1.24.11 @ 10:32AM
Pats fan, eh JohnD? Not even a little grace to thank the Steelers for doing what you couldn't do? Or maybe a Jets fan? Either way, you sound like a liberal. Repeat the lie often enough and maybe folks will start to believe it. I am still waiting for Brady to serve a four game suspension for his behavior. After all, he did father a child out of wedlock and then leave the mother for a supermodel. Neither QB committed a crime, so why not supsend Brady for "behavior that reflects poorly on the NFL" as well?
As Goodell left Kraft's apartment this morning, he can't have been very happy. He did all he could to hamstring the Steelers and they still got to the bowl. Maybe he will do us all a favor and go hang himself.

No, a Ravens fan.
JohnD| 1.24.11 @ 1:23PM
"He did all he could to hamstring the Steelers. . ."
What? The bogus call in the Miami game that turned a Steeler loss into a win? Taking a TD off the board against Baltimore on a ticky-tack holding call?
The gamblers love the Steelers; Steeler games have double the money bet on them that any other NFL game has. More gamblers means more eyes on the TVs and higher marginal ratings. The NFL knows this, and it explains all the recent Super Bowl appearances.
Pete| 1.24.11 @ 2:10PM
Ah, that explains it. Good luck to you, sir. Just pray Goodell doesn't take a disliking to your team next year. From the suspension of Ben to the ludicrous fines to the allowed late hits on Ben, the league did its best to keep us down this year. The Miami call was a premature whistle but the right call once that mistake was made. And the hold was a brutal, obvious hold...finally got HD and DVR...if you have it, go back and look. He practically tears off the guy's jersey, preventing the defender from making the play.
As for gambling, I humbly submit that TV ratings make the league a ton more money, which is why the Patriots were allowed to destroy evidence and get a slap on the wrist for a decade of cheating and why NY teams are on the rise.
Enjoy the Super Bowl.
JohnD| 1.24.11 @ 3:33PM
Uh, the NFL has had a disliking for Baltimore going back some 50 years; in fact, the old AAFC screwed us in the 1948 playoff against Buffalo when Chet Mutryn's fumble was called an incomplete pass, when the old Green and Silver Colts could have run out the clock and won 17-14.
Bob Miller| 1.24.11 @ 11:33AM
Aaron, did you really back the Pack because its QB is named Aaron?
Aaron Goldstein| 1.24.11 @ 1:29PM
We Aarons do have to stick together, of course.
CJohnson| 1.24.11 @ 1:43PM
Wait. Tuesday night Obama is going to announce that the Bears won and that FOX news lied.
Purple Lips| 1.24.11 @ 2:18PM
The game was a letdown. Parity in the league has gone too far. In the NFL, the difference between a Super Bowl Champ and a 2-14 team is usually 3-5 players. No teams anymore have any depth; fewer still can field 24 players any given weekend who are truyl NFL calibre players. Pete Rozell (God Rest his Soul) went too far.
The last team to field a high calibr team that was deep in talent was the 1992-94 Cowboys(they had an embarrassment of riches thanks in part to the Hershel Walker trade in 1990). The salary cap and free agency ended all that. And now we must suffer through games like the 2011 NFC Championship. Next year I'm watching re-runs of the Mod Squad.
Mark J. Goluskin | 1.24.11 @ 2:22PM
The interview of the Dear Leader better than the game?! You have GOT to be kidding! The game is going to be a barn-burner. Who cares about that guy, the president. Oh yeah, the Dear Leader!

There are NO circumstances under which I would soil my eyes watching Bill O'Reilly. Self-absorbed, egomaniacal,self-aggrandizing bucket of pus. Grymz nailed it.
Wayne | 1.25.11 @ 9:10AM
O'Reilly seemed unusually cynical yesterday when talking about the SOTU. I think he is POed that his interview is only 2 minutes. At least we don't have to hear about the Bears in those 2 minutes (not that I would watch anyway - good time to go to the bathroom). But as a Packer fan from the Lombardi era I have to say Go PACK!
