Scarcely a fortnight ago, Keith Olbermann was calling for Sarah Palin’s dismissal from politics.

Now Olbermann has been dismissed from the airwaves.

This is what we call poetic justice.

Kharma is a b*tch!
At least he has time know to weigh his mental state, and nurture himself to health.

Richard Baker| 1.22.11 @ 8:39AM

Ann Coulter won't have Keith to kick around anymore.

Michael L. Hauschild| 1.22.11 @ 9:32AM

What a stroke of luck, he dodged the Dana Milbanks "Palin Free"month by the skin of his teeth.

Deborah D | 1.22.11 @ 9:33AM

Couldn't have happened to a worse "person in the world."

Grzmlyk| 1.24.11 @ 12:37PM

Great comment, Deborah.

Ding dong, the dolt is dead.

Let's hope his career continues to dissolve such that he won't be able to get a gig on a public-access cable channel.

Hallelujah....Obama has spoken and Peace and Tranquility rained down upon the land.
When Obama spoke at Tucson AZ, the ever glorious singers in the Mandira's of the Press loudly hailed that was his best speech ever.
It was even better than the last best speech ever, as it called for a New Tranquility in political speech.
But alas, one of the Temple Singers could not carry the new tune.
So he had to go as the old devout hymns clashed with the new.

So Hallelujah....Hallelujah....Hallelujah
Obama has ordered a New Civility across the land and Olbermann is gone.
But not for long.
For the Songs of the Ever Great and Wondrous Obama are ever-changing and never-lasting.
So never fear, Olbermann the self-appointed "Best Person Ever" will soon be back with his full throttle roar and fulsome praise for the All-wise and Benevolent Obama.

Interested Conservative| 1.22.11 @ 11:22AM

Fox should sign him. It's business. They should show NBC how it's done, yet again.

DRed| 1.22.11 @ 11:33AM

They really should.

beebop| 1.22.11 @ 1:10PM

Better the New York Times or the Washington Post hire him to hasten their own demise.

How long will it take to hose down the spittle covered lenses?

Highlander 747| 1.24.11 @ 11:40AM

I understand that your recommendation may have been tongue in cheek, as he already has worked for Fox Sports when not a political commentator. He was summarily fired for in the words of Rupert Murdoch, " He is crazy......"

Grzmlyk| 1.24.11 @ 12:40PM

Why would Fox sign him? He's not just a liberal, he's a black hole of nihilism.

He genuinely hates Fox - and, apparently, everthing and everyone who isn't staring back at him from his mirror.

Take the vitriol out of Olbermann and all you have is a pair of glasses, a nice suit and a pretention to imperiousness.

Oldefarte| 1.22.11 @ 12:51PM

%%%%%HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN, THE SKY IS BLUE....%%%%%. Now all they have to do is dismiss Maddow, Matthews, O'Donnell, and the rest of the MSNBC abomonations!!!!!

Ron| 1.23.11 @ 8:22PM

Mr. Maddow would probably be happy to get $14 million to retire.

Kiliieyone| 1.24.11 @ 9:45PM

Your name says it all. Obviously you are from another century and you have lost contact with reality.
Just remember there are many more Liberals than Republicunts.

InvertedAndPullingGs| 1.24.11 @ 11:36PM

Yeah... November proved that, huh ??

Jake| 1.22.11 @ 2:56PM

Olbermann's advice to Palin two weeks ago was not too far off the mark.
She should have repudiated her cross hairs on
Gabby Giffords , instead of calling them at first surveyor's symbols
and then later saying , the Democrats once did something similar , so there.
Olbermann had of late had actually been more
rational- obviously too late.
And some of his non political bits were very funny.
When I had a choice between Olbermann and O'Reilly ,
I would often choose Olbermann, because although he could raise one's B/P into the stratosphere,
he was kind of entertaining.
Unlike O'Reilly , whose show is always boring .

Rich D| 1.24.11 @ 6:23PM

But they WERE surveyor's symbols and the Dem's were bull's-eyes.

Kenneth E. MacAlister Jr.| 1.22.11 @ 3:13PM

Having never watched MSLSD I find it hard to cheer the man losing his job. I hope Mr. Olbermann will find GOD & turn his life around. There is nothing to gloat about when a man is living in misery without GOD in his life. Hopefully being away from the radical, GODless politics of the MSM will help him realize he needs GOD & all of the hate & anger which consumed him on the air at MSLSD will be replaced with GOD's Spirit. Hating a man I have never met or watched on the tube is not only a waste of my time, but also sin in the eyes of GOD. I know the man's reputation & actions from reading about him here among many other places, but just like him I am a sinner too & in need of GOD's grace & mercy. Here's hoping Keith Olbermann realizes he needs it too. Take care all & GOD bless!

Nick| 1.22.11 @ 4:53PM

Mr. MacAlister,

Excellent words, sir. I heartily concur.
We should always pray for our enemies to repent and circumcise their hearts.

Of course, it is completely acceptable to pray for the enemies of God, who refuse to repent, to be called home by the Lord, to protect society from their lies and evil acts.

Ran / Si Vis Pacem | 1.22.11 @ 10:20PM

Hey Keith... we hear Ted Rall is looking for a golf buddy.

Cam Vallee| 1.22.11 @ 11:56PM

HAAAAAA! Love how you put it! It should only be at the demise of the left to be so dismissive of Governor Palin! Their constant ragging on her is proof regarding her importance to America.

Olberman falls and Sarah is still standing. Says it all.

Olberman on Fox? Sounds good to me. I know how to change the channel! Love to see O'Reilly interview him!

Bob K.| 1.23.11 @ 9:54AM

Who watched him?

Maybe NBC can now get Wilson Tennis Rackets, EMU boots and Ping Drivers to advertise there now?

ACynic| 1.23.11 @ 5:00PM

Olbermann's firing is a terrible mistake.
The citizenry needs to hear and see how vile, radical, disgusting, obnoxious, dishonest and reprehensible hardcore liberals really are. The public needs to see what kind of individuals are drawn to, and inhabit the world of the liberal progressive. The public needs to think "what would happen to me, and this country, if liberal progressives take power?"
It was also too bad they got rid of that fat communist cow, Rosie O'Donnell from the view. Her comments were also way way out there. She too is a committed "liberal" and here comments aptly demonstrated her intolerance, arrogance and radicalism.
The more the citizenry sees and hears these communist scum, the more folks will awake to the danger they pose.

We can get all he offered by just reading the letters to the editor page of any newspaper, no need to pay some loser millions for a showcase of stupidity.

Kiliieyone| 1.24.11 @ 9:41PM

Obviously you are a danger to yourself and others.
Please seek professional help.

Davy| 1.24.11 @ 12:34PM

Who is Keith Olbermann? I've never heard of him.

Occam's Tool| 1.24.11 @ 12:42PM

This comment, Aaron, IS playing well in rural Minnesota. So there.

Oldefarte| 1.24.11 @ 1:11PM

One moronic liberal/progressive down, millions more to go!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael| 1.24.11 @ 2:31PM

Let's see Obama take care of you now!!

Kiliieyone| 1.24.11 @ 9:39PM

Keith is a wonderful, just man. He is a terrific journalist and has a heart of gold. He truly fells the conditions of his fellow human being. Unlike the LImbaughs, Hannity's,Beck's et al., he really cares and trys to change to a better outlook for all

Nick| 1.24.11 @ 10:55PM

No, he doesn't.
