Let the 2012 Re-Elect begin. Obama is now monomaniacally
promoting non-enforceable rhetoric about jobs’: a WSJ
editorial trumpeting a non-enforceable executive order to look back
at olds regs, fogging the mirror so we can’t focus so well on the
orgy of new regs which is actually what threatens the economy;
and today’s gesture, another executive order establishing a
new Council on Jobs and Competitiveness led by none other than
General Electric CEO
Jeffrey Immelt, of “We’re all Democrats now” and “The
government has moved in next door, and it ain’t leaving. You could
fight it if you want, but society wants change. And government is
not going away” fame.
So he’s focusing on gummint jobs, direct or indirect,
regardless, they’re the looming boomlet will be of jobs paid for by
political dictate and out of your pockets. Not quite markets at
work. Which is really the kind
he promised the Obama economy would be built around. In a word:
bubbles. Great.
Those new massive reg schemes he plans to use to fundamentally
transform America — like killing the domestic mining industries
and backdoor Kyoto-style regs — those need boots on the ground.
And just to keep the return to the glories of ‘08 in full swing,
now comes this, from the EPA for its on-campus eco-ambassadorships.
Can’t let that bloc of disillusioned youths now disillusioned on
the Hollywood and Mad-men made Obama go un-reorganized. And the
fights begin immediately with a new House. So, so does this. Here
is the announcement in truncated form (it’s a biggun):

…Detailed Description
The EPA OnCampus ecoAmbassador Program is led by Office of
Public Engagement (OPE) staff located in EPA’s Headquarters Office
of External Affairs and Environmental Education (OEAEE) within the
Office of the Administrator. OEAEE’s mission is to expand the
environmental conversation by reaching out to less traditional
stakeholders and engaging with them about environmental issues, as
well as to provide timely and accurate information to the media and
public concerning the Agency’s activities to protect human health
and the environment.
In this first year of the EPA OnCampus program, 27 enrolled
students from 18 schools have been brought onboard as OnCampus
ecoAmbassadors for the 2010 - 2011 academic year. These
unpaid volunteers serve as liaisons for EPA on their campuses.
The OnCampus Team interacts on a regular basis with the OnCampus
ecoAmbassadors including weekly one-on-one calls. The Team
also works with managers of EPA voluntary programs including ENERGY
STAR, WasteWise, Green Power Partnership, and the Pesticides
Environmental Stewardship Program. In addition the Team
interfaces with representatives in each of EPA’s Regional
Offices.
The OnCampus Team seeks a detail-oriented, diligent, and
intuitive individual with critical thinking and strong
interpersonal skills to serve as an assistant project lead and
ensure successful management of the OnCampus program during this
critical first year.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
· Manage the day-to-day oversight of the OnCampus Program
including weekly one-on-one calls.
· Schedule and develop monthly national conference calls with
the ecoAmbassadors to discuss their progress and relevant EPA
voluntary programs.
· Provide oversight and encourage participation in the online
collaboration site, OnCampus Connector.
· Assist ecoAmbassadors with decisions regarding
environmental voluntary programs they are implementing on their
campus and surrounding community.
· Manage logistics for ecoAmbassador visits to Headquarters
and Regional Offices.
· Provide valuable input to the OnCampus Team regarding
process enhancement and strategic vision for completing a
successful pilot program.

Wow, shazam, our governmental tax dollars at work on college campuses. Whatever happend to the theory of colleges/universities being the place to obtain AN EDUCATION? Obviously, there are becoming an extension of CHICAGO COMMUNITY ORGANIZING 101!!!!!!!!!

Interesting that these liaisons can be unpaid volunteers but interns on Wall St are supposed to be paid. Whereas the interns on WS actually provide a valuable service and learn on the job where they would like to be later in life, the eco zombies, I mean ambassadors are getting indoctrinated into the fabulous world of civil service. BTW who is funding the bright electronic billboards celebrating the passing of Sargent Shriver with some quote about being a civil servant is the greatest thing you can be. I think it appeared within minutes of my hearing the man had passed. I guess it helps to come from money then you can cherish your govt service.

And of course the authorization for the expenditure of tax dollars on propaganda is right there in Bill#, Subsection_, Paragraph_, claus_.
This is all perfectly legal folks. And it is an abomination.
