Shameless

John DiStaso of the Union Leader reports on the New Hampshire factor in Gabrielle Giffords’ miraculous recovery, which the local Democratic Party leader then immediately exploits as an opportunity to throw the congresswoman over the back of a prized hobby horse:

“Our families have vacationed together the last couple of summers in New Hampshire,” Wasserman Schultz told NBC. “I told her to get back to us as quick as she could. We expected her in New Hampshire this summer and that’s when she started to open her eyes.

“It was like watching a miracle happen,” said Wasserman Schultz….

[New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Raymond] Buckley said Wasserman Schultz’s mention of New Hampshire “underscores the relationship between them but also shows how special New Hampshire is to people and why we need to continue to protect the environment here.”

Glad to see you were able to make a tragic act of violence a couple thousand miles away into an endorsement of your political priorities, Buckley! Can somebody send this hack his January bonus early?

Red meat for his base - though some of them might wonder what the shooting has to do with the environment ....

did the shooter not police his brass?

Wasserman-Schultz needs to meet up with Weiner. They clearly deserve each other. Best wishes for Giffords full recovery.

Wasserman-Schultz is nothing but your typical lefty who believes in the Easter Bunny, Utopia, and Halloween. Let's see, so far Rep. Giffords has opened her eyes because W-S spoke of New Hampshire, Obama came into the room, or the Cow jumped over the Moon. That about cover it?

Wasserman-Schultz is quickly becoming the female version of Chuck Schumer. As the old joke goes, the most dangerous place to be is between Schumer and a camera.
