In case you were feeling optimistic about humanity…

A West Philadelphia abortion doctor, his wife and eight other suspects are now under arrest following a grand jury investigation. Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 69, faces eight counts of murder in the deaths of a woman following a botched abortion at his office, along with the deaths of seven other babies who, prosecutors allege, were born alive following illegal late-term abortions and then were killed by severing their spinal cords with a pair of scissors.

“I am aware that abortion is a hot-button topic,” said District Attorney Seth Williams. “But as district attorney, my job is to carry out the law. A doctor who knowingly and systematically mistreats female patients, to the point that one of them dies in his so-called care, commits murder under the law. A doctor who cuts into the necks severing the spinal cords of living, breathing babies, who would survive with proper medical attention, is committing murder under the law.”

Gosnell is facing charges of murder in the third degree for the death of 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar. Mrs. Mongar died on November 20, 2009, when she was overdosed with anesthetics prescribed by Gosnell. He is also facing seven murder charges for the deaths of infants who were killed after being born viable and alive during the sixth, seventh, or eighth month of pregnancy…Gosnell is suspected of killing hundreds of living babies over the course of his 30-year practice. However, he is not charged because the records do not exist.

Of course, in fairness to Dr. Kermit, even the President of the United States had a heap of trouble sorting out how to best dispose of completely viable babies who somehow survived the process meant to end their lives.

People are basically good, aren't they?

Typical ad hominem. And you didn't even get my moniker right! C'mon man.

“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

One of Satan's little helpers might finally be brought to justice. This case could be a game changer.

Stay tuned.

Want to bet? The MSM will cover this like you won't believe. It is up to sites like this and Fox news to let the country know (because the morally bankrupt MSM won't do it).

Yeah, just check the google news front page. The lead websites reporting this story are CNN, ABCNews, and the NYTIMES. The liberal media will never cover this.

I respect both sides of this debate, but understand that if abortion is made illegal, what occurred here will be the norm, not the exception.

Also, there are unscrupulous, unethical and dishonest people IN EVERY PROFESSION AND WALK OF LIFE. 6o Minutes just aired a story about a pharmaceutical company that knowingly let its manufactuing standards

Sorry, finger slipped and hit submit. Anyway, continuing my point, this company cut so many corners at it's manufacturing plant that it allowed the wrong doses of drugs to be packaged and shipped to patients. A child on psych meds may only be supposed to get 10 mg dose of a drug could get dangerous 100mg dose. A heart patient on a life saving drug may get a dose that is so low that it has little to no therapeutic effect.

"A doctor who cuts into the necks severing the spinal cords of living, breathing babies, who would survive with proper medical attention, is committing murder under the law.”

Aka ... partial birth abortion.

Child sacrifice gets the light of day. God help us.

This is barbaric to do! I do not have one ounce for sympathy for these b*stards!
I'm convinced they support, and vote 'democrat' in election, after all is the support dems need to kill babies in more cruel ways then one. Are the 50+million killed babies are not enough yet??

Kharma will be a biotch for them!

Most women righteously think of an unwanted pregnancy as a tumor that has to be removed, but like most problems some wait until the last minute to have them solved. It would make a woman's tumor problem easier to solve if abortion clinics were renamed Tumor Removal Centers (TRC) with 24/7 services.

What he did was only different in degree but not kind to a late term abortion. I get disgusted when I hear someone speaking of a woman's right to choose and omitting the fact that the choice being made is to kill their own child. For Kermit, I will not use the honorific Dr. for this monster, a 210th trimester termination will be about right.
