Reince Priebus continued to add to his lead, ending the fifth round with 67 votes. Maria Cino trailed with 40 votes, having gained only 12 votes from Michael Steele's endorsement.

Saul Anuzis inched up at 32 votes and Ann Wagner flatlined at 28. The two candidates were seen in a closed door meeting following the round of voting, but had no comment leaving the room and sixth ballot voting has now started without any further withdrawals.
