He is right on point with the analysis. Curious he doesn't reference any of the conservative commenters or opinion makers that have clearly pointed out that there is no shread of evidence that the shooter had any link in his mind to conservative ideals. Nasty opportunism by left media outlets and even a supposedly unbiased sheriff that has tried to convict a political movement for the actions of a clearly unstable or disturbed mind. My oldest brother, God rest his soul, suffered from schizophrenia. It did not manifest itself until his early 20's and he was an honor roll student in college when it began. When medicated (almost totally debilitating) he could be lived with and was kind to any and all strangers. Unmedicated he could be cruel and a bear to handle. His own kindness and trustworthiness helped to cost him his life in a senseless murder that never even went to trial. These so-called pundits need to ask how a troubled mind was allowed to remain unchecked for so long. The accounts I read made me immediately put the actions with the symptoms of schizophrenia and I'm no doctor. Therein lies the real shame of the episode.

I think AmSpec should refrain from including in its "must-read" lists anything that sits behind a pay wall, or at least warn its readers of that fact beforehand.
