A series of emails from a classmate of Jared Loughner, obtained by the Washington Post, adds to the portrait of the accused shooter being a seriously disturbed individual.
This one is particularly eerie:
“We have a mentally unstable person in the class that scares the living crap out of me. He is one of those whose picture you see on the news, after he has come into class with an automatic weapon. Everyone interviewed would say, Yeah, he was in my math class and he was really weird. I sit by the door with my purse handy. If you see it on the news one night, know that I got out fast…”

We have got to enact Country-Wide 'Sensible' gun laws, simple as that. people asking, How could this CLEARLY mentally-unstable guy LEGALLY buy a Handgun whose SOLE purpose is to kill people, really should think. Why WOULDN'T he be allowed to buy the gun? Was he a Felon? Had he been declared insane by a court of Law? No They buy as many man killers as you want! Before you buy a man killer, you should have to be interviewed by a police officer, and asked some basic questions about why you want a man killer, if you seem fine you are given a card to bring to the shop and get your man killer.Anyone wanting to buy MANY man killers would have to explain why they need that many.

So the first response should be for law-abiding citizens to be disarmed? That is a stupid idea. Prosecute the "alleged assassin" to the full extent of the law. If he is found guilty, execute him. No extended appeals. No TV, movie or book deals. No "cruel & unusual" or life sentence BS. Take him outside and put a bullet in the back (or the front) of his head. Justice is served.
Condolences, prayers and best wishes to the shooting victims and their families.

The issue of whether Jared Loughner is a liberal is utterly irrelevant. Suppose in fact he's a true-blue conservative. Would that have made his crimes "understandable?" The point is that this guy has a lot more to do with the likes of John Hinckley and Mark David Chapman than any political terrorist. He is one of those people we've all known -- volatile, easily insulted, violent-tempered, possessed of an inflated sense of self. There is nothing peculiar to liberalism or Marxism here. Whether Right or Left, this manchild is a sociopath.
As for pot smoking, big deal. About 150 million to 200 million Americans have tried marijuana, including yours truly. It hasn't made us into homicidal maniacs.

The guy's a Liberal, there is no doubt. His actions, drug use, books, weirdness are all Liberal traits. His friends even say he was a Liberal pot-head.
