Anita MonCrief, a former Project Vote/ACORN employee who
testified against the organization as part of a voter registration
fraud lawsuit in Pennsylvania, has announced the formation of a new
Houston-based Tea Party organization. The Crispus Attucks Tea Party
will hold its first meeting later this month.
“We are based in a former ACORN neighborhood represented by
Sheila Jackson Lee,” MonCrief wrote in an email message. “We have
been meeting/planning since late November, and our inaugural
meeting is January 18th. The path has not been easy, and though we
have been shut out of black churches and community centers, we
managed to find a place literally two blocks from Sheila Jackson
Lee’s home. She is of course invited.”

Our primary objective is to break the cycles of dependency and
decay that continue to anesthetize and hold captive too many
Black families and neighborhoods. We provide continuing series of
speakers, seminars, training and practical business support
services designed to help Blacks fully assimilate into and be
competitive in American society. Our objective is to teach
Americans the fullness of the history of Blacks in America and
to help Blacks gain control of their lives and the destiny of their
children. Only
by understanding our full and true history will we all be
liberated.
The Crispus Attucks Tea Party rapidly growing Tea Party
movement. It is a nonpartisan, neighborhood movement. It provides a
base for who realize that welfare checks and government dependency
are key elements of their destruction. The corresponding
destructive cycles have destroyed lives, families and their
neighborhoods. Government dependency holds Blacks hostage. It
precludes true liberty and forever blocks full assimilation. Our
mission includes building strong neighborhood bases made of
business people, elected officials, Constituents and Voters, living
and working in hostile areaa. Intellectually honest Constituents
living in Black neighborhoods want them to be safe and to thrive
while becoming less dependent on the tax dollars of others. These
Constituents want disciplined classrooms and globally competitive
educations for their children. They want full control of the
schools, stores and businesses within their neighborhoods. These
things will come only when Constituents living in these
neighborhoods feel that they are worthy of them.
The Crispus Attucks Tea Party provides a way for Constituents to
organize themselves around specific economic and political
issues. It works to insure that Constituents have the benefit of
divergent and truly competitive political ideas, points of
view and debates so that they may truly vote their values;
and know that their vote will be counted honestly. We provide
viable means for those living outside such areas to get
directly involved, share their skills and resources and make a
difference. We focus on education and removing the remaining
psychological shackles of poor education, hate, fear,
suspicion, superstition and insecurity. These shackles are
constantly used to isolate and manipulate Blacks and minimize
the value of their ballots.
Developing positive values and identities are critical if
America is to break demeaning cycle of dependency. Too many of,
have given up, remain locked in self defeating rituals and an
unrelenting fear of the responsibilities that come with learning.
Psychologically, many of is critical. These are both very personal
concepts. Thus, this work must be done by working, respectfully,
within Black neighborhoods. Blacks guidance and tangible support
provided by Americans who have escaped, and other Americans who are
eager to support them. We will pray for the rest who are not able
to join us at this point in time; we will be ready for them when
they are ready for us.
The Crispus Attucks Tea Party promotes and fights for the
founding principles originally defined by the Constitution and
the Bill of Rights. Our core principles are personal
responsibility, education, constrained and transparent
government, a balanced budget, self sufficiency, full assimilation
and the development of viable Black businesses that create
jobs. We identify & vet viable Conservative candidates
that are willing to fight for our mission, our principles and the
issues we embrace. Candidates and elected officials that
support our efforts and embrace our issues may join our efforts
