From the
New York Times:
WASHINGTON — Cuba is getting a
free pass on its human rights abuses from many of the world’s
leading democracies, with visitors from Canada, Australia and
Switzerland failing to criticize the Castro regime or meet with
dissidents while on the island, according to a confidential
diplomatic cable sent to the State Department from Havana.
The cable, transmitted in November 2009 and signed by Jonathan
D. Farrar, the top American diplomat in Cuba, hinted that there
were economic motives behind the accommodating approach. But if so,
the cable concluded, these countries were not getting much of a
payoff.
The rewards for acquiescing to Cuban sensitivities, it
said, were “risible: pomp-full dinners and meetings, and for the
most pliant, a photo-op with one of the Castro
brothers.” The cable added, “In terms of substance or
economic benefits they fare little better than those who stand up
to” the government.

Maybe the liberals were at least right about some countries when they said that not everyone needs Freedom. I remember that being said after the old Soviet Union fell. These fawning idiots in the story obviously must be wearing their Che t-shirts and the cap with a red star on it. Castro utterly despises everything these morons stand for and they think he's just being hospitable. Lenin was right regarding capitalists and rope.

If it weren't for Castro's open embrace of Communism he'd be nothing more than another banana-republic dictator. Liberals look at him and his country and see only what they want to see because of his "revolutionary" talk. The spectacle would be pathetic if it weren't for the suffering Castro and his groupies have inflicted on the Cuban people.

Views on Cuba will always be shaped by your bias, but remind me again what the argument is for continuing the embargo?

Bias? Supporting Liberty and Freedom is a bias? Blund, Fidel beckons for your sort.
