Sorry Bernice,there is such a thing as national sovreignty...they practice it all the time, including Mexico:in spades. Maybe if that thoroughly corrupt and utterly chaotic country practiced a bit of what its' "leaders" preach to us all the time, more of its' citizens would stay there to fulfill their individual hopes. In all events, Americans have had a belly full of watching illegal immigrants take over southwestern states' towns; a belly full of watching Mexican highschoolers fly our flag upside down or simply flying a Mexican flag at the American public high school they attend for free. We're sick of dual-citizenship with official Mexican blessings. You're in or your out on citizenship. You are legal or you're not. What's it gonna be?

America died a little bit because people that broke the law get moved to the front of those from other nations that played by the rules and tried to do the right thing. so, I guess in your mind, that the way to advance in this America is to bypass the rule of law and wait for some goverment blowhard to do your bidding!! America's been dying for quite a while, Senora Baca. Today's vote is like a small dose of antibiotic medicine that won't work at all without a whole lot more radical treatment at the Mayo Clinic of nations.
The small amount of Sovereignepherin injested today will need to be followed by an entire program of Antiforeignacillin, than a series of Fedagencybiotoxicitin shots, an Antinapolitanflammatary, regular doses of SyphillipheticATF-TSA inhibitor, followed by thrice daily ingestion of 1800 mg tablets (or saline-based drips) of Bureaucrasectiside.
That is just the the medicinal protocol recommended by the average Dr. of Freedom. Our real hope for cure rests in a risky experimental procedure known as a 2nd-Amendment-Fedectomy. Just to be on the safe side, and to satisfy my liability insurance carrier, I would personally prescribe hourly congrenemas (congressional enemas), well, just for shits and giggles.
Prognosis: 10 % chance of survival without the treatment, and I'd give the nation 5 years max to live, unless the treatment is initiated within the next year.

I am glad. Remeber the borders ? Our current government takes NO responsibility for controlling the border and then wants us to accept the Dream Act--They are dreaming. And, the Mexican government ( non-government ) has the audacity to expect us to roll over. Go back to sleep. I think Obama should be the president of Mexico he would fit in very well there. And, Mayor Bloomberg should be the Mayor of Mexico City. Not NYC.

As long as illegals have a major presence in this country, supporters of such legislation should be forced to live among and pay for (out of their own pocket; not a dime of tax money!) illegals.
Then we'd see how real the altruism is. Talk is cheap. It's always easier to be idealistic with other people's lives and money.
