The Paul Ryan Primer

Congressman Paul Ryan took a few minutes on the House floor today to inform his colleagues on the virtues of not being able to “afford tax cuts.” In just four minutes, Ryan clarified what “tax cuts” really means, whose money we’re really talking about, and the changes they’re gonna make next year.

Kinda makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

If my wish comes true, you can call him President Ryan on 1/20/13.

JimmyT, not diasagreeing with you entirely.

It is just that we have so many idiots -- full blown, 50 or 60-something year old idiots -- walking the halls of Congrees today, we need young Congressman Ryan to be the sane voice.

Here finally seems to be an energetic, thoughtful, fairly well spoken (we'll need to work on this, his oral presentation skills), younger Conservative.

He's not afraid to step out; he is prepared to offer viable solutions. (Lots of Congresspeople are completely risk-averse)

We need him there so as to shame even the GOP older fools, yes, those on his side of the aisle. They are deadweight and have been for -- some of them -- two decades.

Our nation's problems are many. And you can count about 390 US House Representatives members in that LONG list of ills that presently cripple our nation.

The American people will respond very positively to the Rep. Paul Ryan as they get to know him. I have witnessed real promise in him this past year. While observing and listening to Ryan, Americans will see how their own Congressperson just does not measure up.

And that can once again be a terrific thing November 2012.

Unfortunately, I don't think Ryan has the ego to want that job. I would imagine the personal attacks and hit jobs will be starting on him soon by the media - he is scarier to them than Boehner, who they've already pegged as a wimpy wus. But Ryan - I think they are just starting to see that he is all business, no emotion, even tempered, who continues to reasonably and rationally explain his positions. My hope is that he will become the head of the budget committee. I think he will be most effective there. And I hope he will change Boehner's mind about the head of the appropriations committee - very disappointing.

I think that Paul Ryan has already been voted to be the head of the House Budget Committee, starting in January. So, you got your wish. Even though Ryan isn't my representative, I'm proud that he's from my state of Wisconsin.

Representative Ryan makes me yearn for the days of the Reagan presidency. He instills a common sense and positive outlook which will renew the American dream. If the republicans were smart, they would start supporting and priming him right now for the 2013 presidential election. Believe me, after watching him for the last two years, he would win.
