It’s great to see Tim Cavanaugh — pretty much peerless in his
writing on housing policy lo these last two-plus years —
hosting this Reason video interview with Alison Gibbs
on recruiting women for the “liberty movement.” To those who may
doubt Cavanaugh’s ability to translate his acerbic, wry,
uber-incisive style to a new medium, I present the following two
queries as evidence of his multidimensional gameness: “I guess
the easy way to phrase it is, why do women hate freedom?” and “Do
you see polyandry in the future of the libertarian movement given
the imbalance of the genders?”
Gibbs, meanwhile, acquits herself very well. More information on
her Ladies of Liberty Alliance lives here.
Have you visited their web site? These LOLAs are insane. Occult
devotees, exhibitionists, "music and youth will lead this
revolution" idiots. Gibbs "is a published writer, poet, and has
spent the last 8 years developing a philosophical theory derived
from Plato’s Theory of the Forms."
The debacle of this president’s administration is both a cause
and a symptom of the decline of American values. Unless Congress
impeaches him, that decline will go on unchecked. An eminent jurist
surveys the damage and assesses the chances for the recovery of our
culture.
The American Christmas, like the songs that celebrate it,
makes room for everybody under the rainbow. Is that why so
many people seem to be hostile to it?
