The DREAM Act passed last night by 216 to 198 (about 20 members didn’t vote). Roy Beck of Numbers USA has a helpful list of the 38 Democrats who voted no along with the eight Republicans who voted yes. Only two of the Republican yes votes will be in the next Congress. The bill looks much less likely to make it through the Senate.

You all said the same thing about Obamacare. Don't trust these politicians.

The contempt for the American people and rule of law, and the corruption of these politicians is stunning.

How I wish that we could find some legitimate way--other than voting them out of office, whereupon they get rich as Beltway influence peddlers--to PUNISH these scum. And yes, that's what these politicians are--scum.

Notice that almost all the Democrat no votes were from the South and Middle America. I suspect that even the New York votes were not from urban areas. Amnesty is toxic in these areas.

Looked at the 8 who voted for this monster and most will be gone when the new congress takes over in January... most were beaten or retired.

Castle voted for it the 'sure winner of the senate seat. While that seat is heald by the Dems this vote is illustrative of how much different the outcome would have been in practice had he won the primary and gone on to win the election.

One thing is clear an effort needs to be mounted to allow for near immediate seating of congressmen and senators after each election.

Allowing people with nothing to lose to vote on critical policy issues is a clear and present danger to the Republic.

Great work House. Giant tax increase for working Citizens but pass out citizenship en masse. Must be they need new taxpayers by droves to fund their spending. Apparently American citizenship now means our money belongs to government except what they let us have. Are we supposed to be grateful?

BTW let's get those egregious eight Republicans.

The sad fact Al is thet they will not be tax payers but tax eaters. Imagine a Mexican 33 years old who doesn't read or write Spanish or English who gets a 10 year work visa just by signing his name in front of the interpreter. He will never pay any taxes. He probably will collect Low Income Tax Credit.

Oh, and in 10 years we won't deport him because his parents are too old and they need him.

Call it what it is: a NIGHTMARE act.

The contempt for the American people, the US constitution, their oaths of office, rule of law, and the many other corruptions of these politicians is stunning. What it would take to correct would be constitutional amendments: to eliminate the "automatic" pay raises, to shorten terms for House to 1 year and senate to 2 years, repeal the 17th amendment. Of course, elimination of the Fed, the anti-impoundment acts, income extortion, and quangos by something like the Liberty amendment would be a good start, limiting their ability to over-spend.
