In September television station WJLA (the ABC affiliate in Washington) fired reporter Doug McKelway over his report about a demonstration by environmental groups, who protested during the BP/Gulf disaster over oil industry campaign contributions to members of Congress. Among other things his bosses were apparently displeased that McKelway called attention to President Obama’s $77,051 in campaign contributions from BP.

Here’s the report that got McKelway in trouble:

Now, according to the Washington Post, McKelway has been hired as a Washington-based general assignment reporter by the Fox News Channel. Roger Ailes rides to the rescue again.

Looks like FOX is adopting all the mutts no one wants. Nothing more noble than a mutt.

Way to go, Roger Ailes. They don't make them like him anymore. Glad to hear this reporter landed on his feet. How dare he speak the truth! Oh, do you think Obama is thin skinned? Ummmm...yeah!

Except for one MAJOR and GLARING error in his reporting--the "contribution" was not from BP itself but the aggregate of hundreds of separate donations from BP employees.
