A plurality of independent voters would prefer that Tea
Party-inspired members of Congress influence policies as opposed to
Obama, a new Gallup poll
reveals.
The poll found that 32 percent of independents want Republican
members of Congress supported by Tea Parties to have the most
influence over federal government policies, compared with 25
percent who say President Obama. An additional 23 percent said
Republican leaders in Congress and 11 percent said Democratic
leaders.
Over the past four election cycles, the voting preferences of
independents have fluctuated wildly, leading to dramatic
shifts in the balance of power in Washington. In the wake of the
election, many commentators have argued that Republicans risk
alienating independent voters by catering to Tea Party activists.
But as we see from this poll, the reality is a bit more
complicated. While the policy preferences of Tea Party supported
candidates may not be favored by a majority of independents,
they’re still more popular than the rest of the crowd in
Washington.
Among all voters, Obama was favored by 28 percent, compared with
27 percent for the Tea Party supported members — owing to the
overwhelming unpopularity of the Tea Party among Democrats.

I'm disappointed. Here we have a blog about the Tea Party, and I expected to see a full-blown flame war between Tim* and Margie. Instead- nothing but crickets.

Hey, it's still early in the day, just come back later on, and you might get what you wish for. Now on the other hand, it is the Holiday season, so maybe like North and South Korean, they've called a fragile truce in their ongoing war of words. Hey, who knows? But anyway, I just want to wish Margie, and Tim* a very Happy and Peaceful Thanksgiving Day, and I hope the truce holds.
Oh yeah, and everybody else too, Happy Thanksgiving Day!!

Nah, Tim probably dropped by his local McDonalds for a quick sausage biscuit on the way to the obligatory ACLU it's time to stamp out Christmas forever meeting and noticed the Manger Scene that most McDonalds in my area persist in rubbing our noses in (thank God somebody has the guts to do it) and went immediatley into Atheist Overdrive. I think I spotted him orbiting the moon just a few hours ago. Ah, well, Margie can rest easy until he makes re entry. Merry Christmas, Margie.

Well all I've got to say to that is, the Democratic Party, Progressives, Liberals, and the friggin' Commies are overwhelmingly unpopular with the Tea Party too, so right back them.
Now about those Independents, I've never really understood them very well, they're always changing sides, and I just don't get that. The only things that I don't have an opinion about, are things that I don't know about, but if you explain them to me, I will form my opinion very quick, and then stick to it. So all I've got to say to these Independents is, get off the fence, pick a side, and then stand your ground!!

And just who was the MORON who paid for this poll? I mean, we just had the best poll ever on Nov 2 and it was totally free. Geez, the way some people waste their money. What next, whether or not the moon is made up of Gorganzolla or Brie? For those of you in Rio Linda, who probably can't read this anyway, those are both cheeses.
