A man of faith in a godless age is hitting Americans where it hurts.
Mr. and Mrs. American Spectator Reader, let P.J. O’Rourke talk sense to your kids.
In Britain, defending your property can get you life.
The debacle of this president’s administration is both a cause and a symptom of the decline of American values. Unless Congress impeaches him, that decline will go on unchecked. An eminent jurist surveys the damage and assesses the chances for the recovery of our culture.
It won’t take long for conservatives to scratch this presidential wannabe off their 2008 scorecard.
The American Christmas, like the songs that celebrate it, makes room for everybody under the rainbow. Is that why so many people seem to be hostile to it?
Was the President done in by the economy, or by the politics of the economy?

This comes as no surprise. Unions are nothing more than another arm of the Democrat Party & the (Un)American left. What was once a good idea has been thoroughly perverted by leftist politics & a thirst for power by union leaders.

Not only are they an arm of the DemoCrat Party; they are also an arm of the communist Party.

Pretty inefffective video to me. Seems like a lame attempt to spark class warfare between rank&file; and the bosses, but none of the rank&file; have the balls to stand up and say "You know what? You're right!" As long as the government keeps delivering to the bosses, the rank&file; will stay in line.

My husband worked for the Detroit Carpenter's District Council in the 1980-90's. He could write a book on the corruption and theft he saw happening. He ran against the leadership twice but was defeated. Thank God he got out when he did. The second man he ran against, Ralph Mybry, is in federal prison and has more charged pending. He is accused of stealing million from worker's union dues. Speaking of union buildings; the Carpenters International office was moved from Washington DC to Las Vegas, Nevada. Now why would they do that? So they can be closer to their money, is my guess. Those union love to gamble, especially with other people's money.
Go to the FBI's own web site regarding union oversite and count the convicted union officials who steal union dues each and every year. I counted hundreds the last time I checked and of course there are many more that haven't been caught.

The "Rank & File" aren't going anywhere.
Where else can they go to get paid twice as much for half the work?
They're Marxist tools who have sold their souls (and that of our once great nation) for an easy buck!
And wearing an American flag on your hard hat doesn't obscure the fact that you're an enemy to America and everything she stands for.

Whatever happened to Beck vs CWA?

22% to 52% of their dues goes to the dem party. These are some really stupid people paying the dues. Union workers make up about 13% of the workforce. 5% is government employees. Leaving 8% of the private sector being unionized. This number used to be above 20% 40 years ago. Can anybody say "obsolete"?

Labor unions are destroying this country, period. The sleazy Democrats who receive $billions in political contributions from same proclaim that greedy corporations, fat cat, wealthy/rich individuals are destroying the middle class when it is their political blow-buddy labor unions that are to blame. Companies facing exorbatant labor union set wage rates have necessarily resorted to outsourcing their factory operations overseas in order to reduce their employee payroll costs from cheaper labor. This has contributed substantially to the current huge unemployment rate among our nation's workforce. US labor [because of labor union wages] is simply too high priced. If unions were outlawed/disbanned etc, companies would return to hiring this country's residents as their employees, returning their factories/operations to the US, etc. Anyone now unemployed should thank the labor unions [and the Democrats also] of this country for the economic mess that we are in today!!!!!

The next president to go on the $1.00 bill is going to be the the person who outlaws unions. Imagine the dollars that are not going to pension funds, not going to reduce members health care costs, but going to keep socialist redistributionists, redistributing our tax dollars...

Union members are nothing more than "useful idiots" for the Democratic Party.
The Dems need more "idiots" though, that's why they are courting the illegals.
Rust Belt Robert| 11.22.10 @ 2:35AM
There aren't enough private unions to bother with except in the "City-States" on both Coasts and the Great Lakes and they are fast helping to bankrupt the states they are located in. It is the government unions and teacher's unions that really have their snouts in the public trough!
