Rangel Found Guilty

CNN reports:

A House ethics subcommittee found longtime Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel guilty Tuesday on multiple violations of House rules.

On Monday, Rangel, D-New York, walked out of the House ethics subcommittee trial, complaining he has not had sufficient time to hire a new legal team to respond to alleged ethics allegations.

The subcommittee rejected Rangel’s request to delay the hearing until a new defense team is assembled.

Oh, almost forgot. Same punishments for both Kennedy and Rangel. Charlie will be forced to wear a neck-brace for a month.

Yes, and now comes Rangel's perfunctory slap on the wrist for conduct that would have earned the rest of us jail time for tax evasion.

But, hey, this is the "most ethical Congress" ever, right?

Let's think about this. Rangel walks out of his own trial, purportedly exercised because he has had "only" one week to study an 80-page document full of stuff he already knows about (or should, given the months-long buildup).

But Rangel had no problem voting for 2,000 page bills issued on a moment's notice, that no one has a chance to read.

Please do not feel sorry for mr. rangel. At one time, I even lived in his district, yes, for 28 months. Do you think he cared about his constituents? Maybeyes, maybe no, but now or very soon he will represent only himself.
Better for everyone else. http://www.best-make-money-online.com
