The Spectacle Blog

Three different people have e-mailed me this video in the last few hours, with the video getting over 75,000 views in that time and now well over 800,000 total views since being posted 4 days ago. You have to love it when a discussion of monetary policy and the Fed goes viral. That’s when you know that the Fed has some serious credibility problems. And, unlike with Congress, there are serious consequences to the US central bank losing credibility.

Ahem! *Sniff* Scuse me. I posted this twice so far on right here on these here pages. Maybe if you were paying attention a little more here in class, Mr. Kaminsky, instead of doing whatever it is you are doing over there in the corner, we could move a little faster with our studies. Now pay attention.

Your point being?

Nothing, really. Just that I'm great. That's all. You know, keeping it real. Letting the upper management know we got the 411 on the situation. Got our phalanges on the pulse of the deal. Got our peepers on 'em. Lookin out for the little guy. Eyes on the prize. Ain't gunna take it. Know what the man is layin down. You know, gettin all up in their grills! Stuff like that.

There will be a test on this tomorrow. I hope you will take your studies more seriously from now on. *Sniff*

Hey Cartman,

You know, it did occur to me that someone probably had posted this somewhere already in the AmSpec comments.

But as someone who trades for a living, the last few days have kept me away from reading very much!

For the record, I most certainly can't promise to take my studies more seriously. ;-)
