And little o was concerned about foreign money!

Warrior | 11.5.10 @ 3:27PM

What is amusing about the overt hypocrasy of MSNBC is they do not add up the hours and hours of free positive spin advertising the Three Stooges - Matthews, Olberman and Madcow give to liberals every day. $2,400 seems like a miniscule figure if compared to the air time.

Dixie Pixie| 11.5.10 @ 2:30PM

Karma works in mysterious ways.
We should wish him well in his expected job as Pelosi's flak catcher.
At the very least Olbermann will not be around to kick us anymore at MSNBC .

Pete| 11.5.10 @ 2:31PM

Now THAT is amusing. Why even suspend him though, just admit what you are and go quietly into the night when viewership reaches 0.

matthew s harrison| 11.5.10 @ 3:04PM

The super intellectual olbersissy's arrogance bit him in the backside. He just figured that since his employer was a paid propaganda machine for the left, he could make overt financial contributions to the left without any trouble. In the end, GE can buy all the favor from the left it can afford-but when political contributions can be directly attributed to individuals who's jobs are supposed to start with objectivity, the conflict of interest becomes too bright. I love the sunshine-now lets have this happen to all the other pukes int he MSM who have sold their souls to help blanket the country with poverty, and gubment mind/body/spirit control!

dennis2j| 11.5.10 @ 3:05PM

Not enough information. Over what has he been suspended: a vat of boiling oil, a pit of swine excrement? And is there a lottery to determine who will get to cut the rope?

PattyMor| 11.5.10 @ 3:21PM

What's up with MSNBC? Don't they know that liberals have no rules, just ask Alycee Hastings.

WJ| 11.5.10 @ 3:25PM

I don't like Olbyman, but it is silly to suspend him for donations. Does anyone think that he is even more of a moonbat liberal now that they know he donated money to Democrats?

He should be able to donate to whomever he wants, just disclose it.

Big Java| 11.5.10 @ 3:43PM

The little o a democrat?!?!?! Who would of thought?!

Ken (Old Texican)| 11.5.10 @ 4:01PM

true story: they found out his screen name is Tim*

Just joking.

Occam's Tool| 11.5.10 @ 4:37PM

Interesting how the Lord of Hosts is kicking Olbermann's tail. Keith: Those who curse Israel are cursed, and the karma's coming in quick these days.

Margie| 11.5.10 @ 10:11PM

When I had t.v. I remember watching Olberman. Good Lord how I despised that man.
Another example of the ultimate snot. His condescension rivaled even that of Algore.
Smug as a bug in a rug
p.s. Timmy* couldn't possibly agree with you about God's contempt for those who despise Israel as Olbermann does.
He rejects the very Bible he is now claiming to tote.

Tim*| 11.5.10 @ 10:51PM

Uh Oh ! Anti-Catholic Apocalyptic Crank Lady Victor-Margie Is In The Building.
Memo To Anti-Catholics Margie: We Catholics read The Bible too.

You're A White Trash Joisey Pig .

Margie| 11.6.10 @ 1:41PM

I wasn't referring to Catholics who adhere to the Bible, I was referring to YOU.
Nice try, foul mouth.

Tim*| 11.5.10 @ 6:23PM

That is a joke, since like Sarah Palin & Our Tea Party Kingmaker Jim DeMint I've Endorsed & Supported Dr.Rand Paul . Only, I did it from The Gitgo. Then they joined Us.

"The candidates Olbermann donated to had mixed results. Conway lost his race to Tea Party-backed Republican Rand Paul."
The Tea Party Rebellion is inside Congress & The GOP.

Carpe Diem.

Big Java| 11.5.10 @ 4:13PM

I guess next I'll be told that Chrissy Matthews is a
democrat too, and Mr ed and Rachel Baby and all the others...

Curtis Rasmussen| 11.5.10 @ 4:16PM

The election on Tuesday highlighted how expendable this guy is. Sinking ratings from a populace that is getting wise to D'olbermann's defense of the Marxist leanings of Obamao don't help, either.

Stormy| 11.5.10 @ 4:17PM

WJ.

No, he can't. MSNBC has rules for its anchors that prevents them from donating to political candidates. It may be silly, but it is their rule for employees. He should be able to donate to whom he chooses, but not as an MSNBC anchor. Now, we have to watch and see if MSNBC actually takes any punitive action for Ollby breaking it rules.

This does make sense for a news organization, if it is to maintain its credibility as politically neutral. Disclosing it makes it worse.

ejp| 11.5.10 @ 4:53PM

I wouldn't underestimate the Juan Williams incident factoring into this. The defense offered for the canning of Williams at NPR was the "violation of ethical standards" at NPR (even if that was a crock) so when you had a truly blatant case of a news network's violation of its own ethical standards that they required its employees to follow, then how could Olbermann be let off easy?

DRed| 11.5.10 @ 5:22PM

I assume they also want to stick it to Fox by making it seem like they have more integrity than Fox does. I read an article on Salon saying that MSNBC hasn't disciplined other news personalities who have done similar things, so it could aslo be because Olberman is abrasive and his bosses want to stick it to him.

Tim*| 11.5.10 @ 7:20PM

"MSNBC President Phil Griffin suspended him indefinitely without pay for violating a network policy regarding political contributions which required prior approval from management."

The operative words appear to be ," which required prior approval from management."

Groucho| 11.6.10 @ 12:05AM

But they could NEVER get anyone to believe they have more integrity than Fox. Fox is just so clearly the model of journalistic integrity. Who would believe them?

Willey| 11.6.10 @ 1:41AM

Not only is Fox a model of journalistic integrity, they beat the ratings snot out of their liberal loser competitors! LOL!

They got rid of Overbite because the turd's a liability, integrity has got nothing to do with it. Liberals, the party of NAMBLA, know nothing about honor and integrity.

Hey, Groucho and DRed--how about that election? Great ain't it? HAHA!!!

Enjoy, trolls, 'cuz we're just getting started!

gearjammer| 11.5.10 @ 5:52PM

Obamo should hire him to work at the white house. His personal go between with the new House of rep. Have a live cam follow him around-watch him discussing budget comprimise with MBachman. I see him trying to strangle her live and in color.

Tony | 11.7.10 @ 1:31PM

He could replace Gibbs as Press Secretary. :)

Lullabys, Legends and Lies| 11.5.10 @ 6:58PM

Keith will really be missed!! The Lefties over at the Huffington Post are going crazy over this story, and they're plotting their revenge as we speak ("Boycott NBC & GE). But I don't think that it'll hurt MSNBC's ratings whatsoever if they do, because most of the ratings that he still had came from people like me, Conservatives who monitor MSLSD just to see what the other side is saying. Call me a Masochist if you will, but I just like watching them spin reality to fit their fantasy view of the World, and lie for the Democratic Party every single night (it's very fun!!). One of the comments I read over there tonight at the HuffPo was a good one, if Keith gets fired in the end over this breach of contract, it'll make room for the new Alan Grayson Show (I hear he's going to be free from his current job in a few months anyway).

Margie| 11.5.10 @ 10:01PM

One thing I used to notice back when I had t.v. was how plastic the Lame Stream Media talking heads were.

You can get more real acting from the daily soap operas than them. LOL. And they're more believable, too.

Lullabys, Legends and Lies| 11.5.10 @ 10:19PM

Hi Margie!! I've been out of town (Louisiana) for about the last month, I've got a crazy little job as you know, but it's good to be back again. Did Santa deliver some nice gifts to you on Christmas day (Tuesday)? I'm still enjoying all the gifts that I got myself, although I didn't quite get everything that I asked for, but maybe if I'm a good Conservative, and work really hard, I will next time.

Margie| 11.6.10 @ 12:09AM

Hi Lull's :^)

We got the best Christmas we could've wished for. Republicans won the House and Harry Reid may be out of a job as senate majority leader. That and lots of new Republican Governors. Very encouraging. Hopefully they'll all start really digging in and start cutting spending along with getting rid of this humongous tax burden that has made us slaves to them. It's about time we get some relief!

bluecollarbytes| 11.5.10 @ 7:20PM

Keith Olbermann- the partisan. I'm shocked. I think MSNBC/NBC should make an exception in Olbermann's case though. Olbermann's entire show is a political contribution, financed by the network.

Chris| 11.5.10 @ 8:58PM

LOL at the hypocritical irony. These Progressives sure do know how to eat their own.
