Is there any aspect of the Democrats’ actions that didn’t take them down on Tuesday? Obamacare took down the Democrats, spending took down the Democrats, the economy took down the Democrats…and now Politico adds the climate agenda:

Democrats who voted for the controversial House climate bill were slaughtered at the ballot box, including Rep. Rick Boucher, the 14-term Virginian who helped broker some of the key deals instrumental to its June 2009 passage. In the Senate, several reliable green advocates also went down to opponents who derided tough new environmental policies.

Come January, Obama will be working with a Congress that will have little appetite for the types of sweeping energy reform he sought over the last two years. With the House in Republican hands, some of the climate issue’s most vocal advocates have been dislodged from their powerful perches, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman.

There’s no hiding the House Democrats’ bloodbath, with more than two dozen members who voted for the Pelosi-led climate bill losing their seats, and more likely to fall as the final tallies come in. The outcome sends a strong signal to moderate lawmakers as they consider any risky votes in future Congress’ on energy and environmental issues.

Turns out the scientific consensus on global warming produced a forensic consensus that it caused a political mass murder of Democrats.

Paul,

That was fun. Thank you.

My idiotic Ideitic memory remembers every one of those shows.

Give the man a break though. Redheads NEED sunglasses.
When he grabs those glasses I listen up big time. (smile)

Politico also mentioned back at the end of September that Rep James Sensenbrenner was also saying a GOP House takeover would allow him the opportunity to investigate motivations behind global warming issues - a point I illustrated with my suggestion for one particular investigation in my piece Tuesday at BigJournalism.com, see "How an Enviro-Advocacy Group Propped Up Global Warming in the MSM – A Nov 2 Election Connection" http://bigjournalism.com/rcook.....onnection/

BREAKING NEWS FROM INDIA....

Apparently "Operation Coconut Culling" has come up one short for the president's visit, as the presidential entourage has experienced a Coconut related casualty. High winds (unexpectedly) swamped the airport right after the president’s “armada” deplaned and began unloading essential luggage and equipment onto trolleys. About 137 meters to the right of the of the activity (and the direction of which the wind was blowing) was a line of 10 coconut trees approximately 80 meters high.

Deep in the canopy of one tree a lone coconut about the size of a softball came dislodged during a particularly high gust of wind and was hurdled toward the train of trolleys on the tarmac striking one with an incredible amount of velocity. The President was under AF1 chain smoking cigarettes at the time and was unharmed, the teleprompter on the other hand was completely destroyed.

When reached for comment, the teleprompter Czar deferred all questions to any one of his 13 staff members as he was vacationing in the Bahamas. When a staff member was finally contacted we got an update on a replacement status, Quote: “ Man, I have hit the Chinese and Russian black market looking for anything... No Luck.” “The closest one we can find is in the UK Parliament and were not even sure it works cause the last time it was used was when Tony Blair had the FLU”...

You mean to tell me with a trip budget probably equal to or greater than some country's GDP they couldn't pack an extra TP??? But then, if we investigated everything this administation has obuscated on or about, the entire Justice Dep't would be tied up for years. Come to think of it, that might not be such a bad thing!

1/2 of the jobs created in the US were created in Texas. Th Chinese are planning on building 24 nuclear power plants. EPA regs would reduced our elecgtrical output by 7.15% Think Americans figured something out? Facts and science, for example, instead of factoids and truthiness?

Meanwhile, the Republican sweep was rudely interrupted as science savvy Californians and Coloradoans bet on the future not being beyond economic repair .

Sun for the sun bunnies in CA and snow for the snow bunnies in CO. How will "science savvy " manage that, Dacron?
