From my pals/bosses at the Commonwealth Foundation, via Facebook:
PA just elected a Republican Governor, a Republican US Senator, a Republican-controlled Senate, a Republican-controlled House, and a 12-7 Republican edge in Congress. Two questions:
1) Is PA still a "blue" state?
2) How will Republicans govern this time?

Mr. Chesser,
They will govern from hunger if my life time experience in PA as a Conservative is any guide! You won't be able to tell most of them from members of the Rockefeller wing of the party.

sadly, I have to agree with BobK. Lost amidst all of the coverage last night is the fact that PA traditionally switches the governership between R and D fairly regularly.
PA Republicans will never tackle the big issues at the state level. Pension reform? Property tax reform? Will not happen. No stomach for any heavy lifting in this group.
The best Pennsylvanians can hope for is some modest corporate tax reform, and slight reductions in overall spending. Can you say "kick the can down the road?"
Sorry to be a downer.
