I am very surprised by this. Sharon Angle was a weak candidate but Harry Reid was worse. If the Tea guys were going to win somewhere, this was it. What does this mean for the Tea Party guys? Tim*?

Its called SEIU manned voting booths in Clark county .
Wesley Mouch| 11.3.10 @ 12:43AM
It wasn't close enough for that.

We have been spared Majority Leader Schumer AND the stupidest man in Washington D.C. is still one of the two faces of the Democratic Party.
While irritating Joy Behar would have been sweet, I'm calling this one a net plus for the GOP.

Roughly half the voters of Nevada owe the rest of the country an apology. Boycott Las Vegas.
Yosemeti Sam| 11.3.10 @ 7:08AM
Reid is like a weed - it never stops growing - given the fertile ground about it abides in.
LOL.
Mike W| 11.3.10 @ 10:08AM
As an earlier posters said, don't spend your vacation dollars in Nevada and skip California also.
Here in Oklahoma I saw in the paper where Boeing is moving 500 engineering jobs out of So Cal to OKC. Average wage of 130,000.

They get to keep dingy harry, ma'am, maybe tennis shoes, and an angry guy with a rifle in WV.
We get Toomey, Portman, Rubio, and Johnson.
They get the POTUS, the two SCOTUS appts. and control of the senate for two more years.
Even Speaker Boehner cannot foul that set-up.
All that, and the state redistricting means more house seats for the GOP, and control of the Senate in 2012 - the only worry is the nomination of the top candidate.
Michael L. Hauschild| 11.3.10 @ 6:40AM
Remember, the d's won in absolutely the worse places to hold office. There are three places you do not want to be a democrat for the next two years, Nevada, California, and the Senate.
Bob K.| 11.3.10 @ 7:56AM
One other good thing! It will now be politically impossible to vote to bail out Nevada and California from their fiscal crises' and get reelected to any office any where else in the USA.
David W| 11.3.10 @ 8:20AM
Nevada gets what they deserve. I don't know how good his opponent would have been, but could she have been any worse or more stupid? Nevada will probably go the way of California. So don't forget, you frustrated business owners, Texas will open its arms wide for you and your employees. Don't ever forget that.
JimH| 11.3.10 @ 8:34AM
It would have been better to have gotten rid of him, but at least we can enjoy his surrender of the Senate leadership in 2012.
Bob Miller| 11.3.10 @ 8:54AM
Were we expecting some kind of ideal election in Nevada?
Pete| 11.3.10 @ 9:05AM
The snake is now calling for compromise. No deal. How corrupt is Vegas to keep this clown in office?
LarryK| 11.3.10 @ 9:22AM
People that commit voter fraud need to pay the ultimate price. Shove a pike up their butts and display them in front of the county court house and let the birds pick the flesh off their bones.
Sounds harsh?
Let me ask you. Have you ever walked through the cemetery at Gettysburg Pa? Or Arlington National Cemetery? I have! and I realize the price of freedom has been paid by the men and women in those graves. Committing voter fraud is the same as defecating on those graves.
Mike| 11.3.10 @ 9:23AM
I hope corporate America understands what Nevada has done. I hope Vegas convention bookings are reduced to Democrat functions only. I know I won't step into Nevada until this guy is voted out. Can they move the WSOP to Atlantic City?
matthew s harrison| 11.3.10 @ 9:37AM
This is a joke! The polls didn't say this. This is all an SEIU/ACORN move-Angle should demand a recount-and they should look at every voter reg.
Not to be a sore loser-but this is, as we say in Chicgo-bullshit!
Willis| 11.3.10 @ 10:22AM
The population of Nevada is at least 20 percent Hispanic. I hope we'll get to see how that vote split. And, if what I suspect is true, there is a cautionary tale here for those Republicans/conservatives who are considering some weak form of immigration reform or even (gasp) amnesty.
florin| 11.3.10 @ 10:39AM
I wanted Reid out but when i read that Schumer was in line for his seat as majority leader in the senate, i decided I'd rather have Reid who will be ineffectual anyway. AND I believe his win should be thoroughly investigate...too many 'flaws' - his name being automatically checked on ballot - power outages during the voting...something is not right. AND there should be term limits and age limits...we have some drooling old men who are clinging to their seats - we need to start now working on age limits and term limits -
