The only thing that could have possibly mitigated looming disaster for Democrats on Tuesday would have been the release of an unexpectedly strong third quarter GDP number, yet news out this morning is that the economy grew at a meager 2 percent clip.

While growth is obviously better than contraction, it should be higher during an economic recovery, and more is needed to make a dent in unemployment.

Just caught a comparsion of how the Main Stream Media covered the economy in 2004. The unempoyment rate was 4 point 6%. and the sky was falling. Today the we are at 10% and they find good news in the 3rd quarter report. The 2% growth rate will be revised downward after the election. Prediction, on Monday the MSM media will predict Republicans to pick up 80 to 90 seats in the House. Then when they only pick up 75, they will call this a lose for Republicans. Then there will be story after story about angry white people. And of course Republicans will be in constant confusion.
