Imagine a race where people are calling on the Republican nominee to drop out so a conservative third-party candidate can win. Where the major party candidate is actually the spoiler and the Constitution Party standard-bearer could conceivably beat the Democrat if given a clear shot. Where the GOP may be reduced to minor party status.
That’s basically the situation you’ve got in Colorado right now, where Tom Tancredo is running for governor on the American Constitution Party ticket. The Democrat is leading, the Republican is tanking, and Tancredo is surging. But will it be enough? I have a piece looking at one of the most interesting gubernatorial races in the country up at TAC.
